Is it just us, or is this summer flying by? The new school year is upon us and we are looking forward to welcoming Pre-K through 4th grade back to CHES at the end of the month!

We want to thank all the families who attended our summer playgroups and field trips! We also want to thanks our teachers, Ms. McGuire, Ms. Pape and Ms. Desantos for all their hard work! Our kids were engaged in learning and play all while taking in new experiences and surroundings! We would also like to thank Amanda Ensor from 'It Takes A Village LLC.' for the parent education. It's important to keep our parents engaged in learning too!

Please join us for a "Pop-Up" playgroup on Wednesday, August 14 at 5:30pm at THE EDGE Sports Area in Stevensville. All Judy Center Families are invited to join us at The Edge for a fun and fitness filled evening! Dinner will be served! This is a "meet you there" field trip! Stay tuned for the email survey to let us know if you can attend!

Summer Playgroup Highlights! Summer Playgroup Highlights!

We had a ton of fun with our Judy Center families this summer! We kicked things off with Shark Week and a beach party where the kids cooled off with snow cones and water play! Next, we got creative with Art week! We took a field trip to Kiln-Born where families were invited to paint a piece of pottery and enjoy lunch together. In the classroom, the kids had a great time working together to use the spin art wheel. Our third week was all about sports! We got our brains and bodies ready for the day by doing yoga at circle time. Our field trip to The Edge was the perfect space for our littles to run around and get lots of wiggles out. Our final week was "Cooking Up Fun" where the kids loved scooping, and chopping (with help from adults) to make their own snacks ! They got to experience being "real chefs" on our visit to the Chesapeake Culinary Center!

Focusing on a task for an extended period of time is hard to do. 🎨This little cub took her time to paint every detail.

We serve children and their families living in the Church Hill Elementary School zone from birth through age five. We also serve children who reside anywhere in Queen Anne's County IF they have an IEP/IFSP.

We provide home learning kits, playgroups, home-visits, field trips, parent/caregiver support and food assistance. All of these services are FREE!
