• Gold and Purple Band students should check the calendar often for pep band dates, and lessons during class.

• In Kindergarten we will be working on Steady beat and high/low sounds
• In 1st Grade we will be working on sol and mi, how long beats take, and ta, titi, and rest
• In 2nd Grade we will be working on la. do, and half notes.
• in 3rd Grade we will be playing xylophones and exploring making our own music.
• In 4th Grade we will be playing recorders.
• In elementary Band we will be working through our method books.
• In 5th/6th Grade Gold Class we will be reviewing and starting to play ukuleles.
• Gold Band - We will be working on pep band music, and working through new pieces.
• Purple Band - We will be working on pep band music, and working through new pieces.
• Intro to Instruments - We will begin with woodwinds and start playing recorder.
• American Popular Music - We will cover chapter 6 and 7 this month.
