Cabe's Corner ๐ฃ๏ธ
Dear Princeton Families,
I hope everyone has been enjoying this beautiful October weather! As we head into November, I want to remind families that students will continue to go outside for recess when the feel like temperature is 15 degrees or above. Please be sure your child comes to school prepared for the weather with appropriate clothing, including a warm coat, hat, and gloves as temperatures begin to drop. We want all students to be comfortable and enjoy their time outside!
I would also like to thank all our families who came out for parent-teacher conferences. It was wonderful to connect with so many of you. The partnership between home and school is so important to student success, and we truly appreciate your continued support, communication, and involvement in your childโs education. When we work together, we support our students as they grow and thrive!
As a reminder, Tuesday, November 3rd, is Election Day, and Lakeview Public Schools will be closed. We hope everyone enjoys the day off, and donโt forget to get out and vote!
Finally, I want to wish all our Princeton families a very Happy Halloween! I hope you enjoy this beautiful fall weather Saturday, make wonderful memories, and spend quality time with family and friends. Have fun, stay safe, and enjoy all that this special time of year has to offer!
I'll see you at Princeton,
Mr. Cabe

Dressing for Changing Fall Weather! ๐
With crisp morning temperatures and warmer afternoons, dressing in layers is the best way to keep your child comfortable throughout the school day.
Layer Up Daily: Send your child with a removable jacket, fleece, or sweater over their morning outfit.
Label Outerwear: Write your childโs first and last name on the inside tag of all jackets, coats, hats, and sweatshirts. Our Lost & Found fills up rapidly during this time of year.
Outdoor Recess Prep: Students head outdoors for recess every day unless there is heavy rain or extreme cold. Please ensure your child brings a coat and outdoor-appropriate outerwear.
Safe Footwear: Closed-toe athletic shoes or sturdy boots are ideal for playground equipment and running on cold grass. Flip-flops and loose sandals are discouraged for safety during active outdoor play.
From the Office ๐
Dropping Off Items for a Student
Label All Items: Please make sure your studentโs name is clearly written on all dropped-off items. Masking tape and markers are available in the foyer if you need to label anything upon arrival.
Lunch Drop-offs: Lunch staff check the foyer multiple times during lunch periods for incoming deliveries. Please note that no pop/soda is allowed.
Birthday Treats: Birthday treats are delivered to classrooms toward the end of the day. Please do not send balloons.
If you have any questions, please call the office or reach out to your child's teacher.
Green Team Update ๐
Costume Closet Update and Endangered Species Vote During Conferences
Thank you to everyone who participated in our first Costume Closet!! Whether you donated or shopped, we are so excited about our turnout. All remaining costumes were donated to the Macomb County Foster Closet!! Win! Win!
During the week of conferences - October 26th through the 30th - Green Team will have our annual Endanger Species voting. The Team decided to put our two runner ups against each other. Your options for voting will be the Panamanian Frog or McCord's Box Turtle. Whichever animal gets the most votes (money) will get the TOTAL donated for them at the Detroit Zoo. This is a great cause and we are all anxious to see who will win!
We'd also like to remind everyone to keep saving those pop tabs for the December contest. Whichever class collects the most in weight will receive a class reward!
