Thank you!
We just want to thank our Wild Rose community for coming out to McTeacher Night! We appreciate so many families supporting the Wild Rose Staff! We sold out of pies! We will be sure to share with the PTO what funding was raised when we receive the final outcome from McDonalds.
Thank you to our many volunteers for the Halloween celebrations. We appreciate the time, energy and effort you all have put into the Wild Rose community.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable and safe weekend!

Veterans Day
Veterans Day is right around the corner! We want to honor our Wild Rose community Veterans here at Wild Rose in multiple ways. We would like to invite Veterans and their Wild Rose connection/family to breakfast in the morning before school on November 11th. If you would like to bring your Veteran to Wild Rose please see the link below to RSVP. All RSVPs must be in by Monday, November 3rd, in order for us to plan accordingly.
We will also be having an assembly for students and staff in the afternoon of Veterans Day. Unfortunately we do not have the space to have our Veterans join us, which is why we hope we can honor our Veterans in person in the morning. However, we do create a slide show for our students and Veterans to view at both the breakfast and the assembly. Please fill out the form below to share information about your family's veteran to be honored, even if they are not able to be with us in person or if it is a Veteran that has past away.
Thank you for your support and collaboration! We are looking forward to a wonderful day of honor and celebration.
PICTURE RETAKES NOVEMBER 5TH
Retake Picture Day is coming up on:
Wednesday, Nov 5

COGNITIVE ABILITIES TEST
Dear Parent:
Between November 10 and November 21, 2025, 3rd and 5th graders will be taking the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT). The test consists of three sections, 90 minutes of total test time, broken into nine 10-minute tests. Your child’s principal will communicate the exact dates for testing.
The Cognitive Abilities Test measures a student’s verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal reasoning abilities which can facilitate their learning and problem-solving. Information gathered from CogAT scores may be used to adapt instruction and programs to the needs and abilities of students. It may also provide insight into a student’s readiness for advanced academic programming such as the Academically Talented program. For more information on Academically Talented students click here: https://district.d303.org/programs/accelerated-placement. Student results will be sent home in December. We appreciate your support of our academic programs and your partnership in facilitating your child’s learning.
Please feel free to contact your building principal or one of the people below if you have any questions.
Chromebook Reset & Digital Citizenship for Wild Rose Students
Over the next few weeks, students at Wild Rose Elementary will take part in lessons about Digital Citizenship and responsible Chromebook use. These lessons will conclude with a “Chromebook Reset,” where students will remove personal stickers, clean their devices, and receive a school-branded name sticker.
Our goal is to remind students that their Chromebooks are learning tools and should be used responsibly both at school and at home. Thank you for supporting our efforts to help students use technology safely, respectfully, and with purpose.

WASCO SOFTBALL
Wasco Baseball is excited to share that starting in Spring 2026, we will officially offer Recreational Softball leagues alongside our long-standing baseball program. Our focus is on providing a fun, local experience for girls beginning at age 4 (Tee Ball) and growing through grade-based leagues into middle school, depending on enrollment.
If a recreational softball league interests your family, please complete the survey below. This survey is simply to help us gauge interest and plan age groups. Your response will help our Board of Directors, along with newly added softball-specific board members, design the best possible program for the community.
We can’t wait to build this new chapter of Wasco Athletics with you. Thank you for your continued support as our Board of Directors works to grow and strengthen both Wasco Baseball and Wasco Softball.

ATTENDANCE POLICY UPDATES
D303 Attendance Procedures Update
District 303 attendance procedures were updated and approved at the June 9, 2025, Board Meeting. All district procedures are available in the CUSD 303 Student Handbook found in the Parent/Community tab in the Information column of the districtd303.org website.
Updates to the attendance procedures were made to bring consistency across all schools within the district and to clarify student attendance expectations. One example of an update is the removal of the pre-arranged absence procedure. This aligns with the definitions of excused and unexcused absences found in Section 2.2.
NEW VACATION POLICY:
The pre-arranged absence form and procedure are no longer in use
Vacations during school days are discouraged and will be considered unexcused absences
This change aligns with our commitment to maximizing instructional time for all students
We recognize that families sometimes need flexibility for travel or special circumstances. While we strongly encourage scheduling family trips during school breaks and holidays, we understand that this isn't always possible. We ask for your partnership in minimizing absences during the school year whenever feasible.
Families are encouraged to review the CUSD 303 Student Handbook to familiarize themselves with the districtwide procedures.
