🌸Dear Bobcat Families,🌸
March is here, and we are excited about the opportunities this month brings for continued learning and growth! As we move further into the spring semester, our focus remains on strong attendance, academic progress, and partnership with you.
📚 Intersession: March 9th–13th
Intersession will be in session for students who received an invitation to attend from March 9th through March 13th. Please ensure your child attends daily if invited. During intersession, students will receive targeted small-group instruction designed to support mastery in specific areas that have been identified as needing additional assistance. This is a valuable opportunity to strengthen skills and build confidence.
🌼 Spring Break: March 16th–20th
Spring Break for all students will be held March 16th through March 20th. We hope your family enjoys a safe and restful break!
🏆 Attendance Matters
Every day of instruction counts. We will continue recognizing students and classes with improved and perfect attendance. Thank you for supporting our attendance initiative—your commitment makes a difference in student success.
👨👩👧👦 Family Engagement
Please continue to look for flyers and communication about upcoming parent events and meetings. Your involvement strengthens our school community and directly impacts student achievement.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Together, we will make March a month of strong attendance, focused learning, and academic growth!
With appreciation,
Maria Guerra, Principal

Dear Parents,
I want to extend a huge thank you for your incredible support with student attendance! Thanks to your dedication, our school is currently in 2nd place in the district. This month, let’s work together to take that 1st place spot!
To celebrate our students' hard work, we will be holding our February Attendance Incentive very soon—an Ice Cream Sundae Party!
Looking ahead to March, we are excited to announce another Nintendo Switch & Makerspace Day! To earn this reward, students must have:
No absences
No tardies
No early pull-outs
Thank you for helping your child stay on track and making every school day count. Let’s go for the gold in March!

Humility 2026
SAY IT: Humility: Putting others first by giving up what you think you deserve KNOW IT: ASK A GROWN-UP: • Tell me about a person you know who has shown humility. • What are some ways you have tried to put others first in your life? ASK A KID: • Can you think of any of your classmates who demonstrate humility? • What are some ways you can show humility at home or at school? SEE IT: There are many great examples of people who have displayed humility throughout history. One great example is a lady named Mother Teresa. Mother Teresa was a Catholic nun who dedicated her life to serving “the poorest of the poor” in Calcutta, India. Not only did she personally serve this community, she also founded the Missionaries of Charity and empowered many others to serve with humility, as well. Watch this short biography about Mother Teresa and learn more about how she put others first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzH13X88kbM BE IT: Talk about some other great leaders who showed humility by putting others first. Set a family need and demonstrate humility.

🩺 School Nurse Newsletter
🍀 March Health News from the School Nurse 🍀
March is a month of changing weather, lots of school activities, and excitement as we look forward to Spring Break! With seasonal changes comes an increase in colds, allergies, and outdoor play. Here are some helpful tips to keep our students healthy and safe.
🍎 Stay Healthy This March
1. Wash Those Hands!
Frequent handwashing with soap and water is the best way to prevent the spread of germs. Remind your child to wash before eating, after using the restroom, and after coughing or sneezing.
2. Cover Coughs & Sneezes
Teach children to cough or sneeze into their elbow, not their hands.
3. Dress for the Weather
March weather can change quickly! Dressing in layers helps children stay comfortable during chilly mornings and warmer afternoons.
4. Get Plenty of Rest
Elementary-aged children need 9–12 hours of sleep each night to stay healthy and focused at school.
5. Fuel Up with Healthy Foods
Balanced meals with fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and protein help support growing bodies and strong immune systems.
6. Manage Spring Allergies
If your child suffers from seasonal allergies, consider speaking with your healthcare provider about management options. Please notify the school if your child requires allergy medication during the school day.
7. Stay Home When Sick
If your child has a fever of 100.4°F or higher, vomiting, or diarrhea, please keep them home. Students should be fever-free for 24 hours (without medication) before returning to school.
🌞 Spring Break Health & Safety Tips
☀️ Sun Safety
Apply sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) when spending time outdoors. Reapply every 2 hours and after swimming.
💧 Stay Hydrated
Encourage your child to drink plenty of water, especially during outdoor play or travel.
🚲 Helmet Safety
If riding bikes, scooters, or skateboards, always wear a properly fitted helmet.
🚗 Travel Smart
Use appropriate car seats or booster seats and ensure seat belts are worn at all times.
REMINDER: Spring Break is an excellent time to get caught up on annual doctor visits, immunizations, eye exams, etc. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns regarding your student.
Wishing all of our students and families a safe, healthy, and happy March and a fun-filled Spring Break!
