CPC Update

THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP WITH BUSES this week!! You are truly a phenomenal team that rallies to serve whenever and wherever needed. I feel blessed to work alongside you daily! I hope you have a great weekend!

As you may recall, there was a state law that passed a couple of years ago that stated we must get a parent or legal guardian’s consent to update a student’s preferred name or gender. Administration developed a form called a Parent Bill of Rights, which is attached here.

In the past, these forms went to Kelli Fearing in Attendance, but they will now go to R&R, along with the Student Consent Release Forms. Attached you will find examples of how the “Parents Bill of Rights” will be entered into Prodigy by the R & R Team.

I have also attached the most current Student Release form that shows at the bottom to “Return the form to Student Records and Registration.”

Career Advisors (per Toby's email earlier in the week) - Reminder to go in and check your assigned high school's converted "pending" apps. I am sure there are many possible reasons for some of those to be in there, but please go in and take action on those that you can (ex. Set up interviews, slot student, etc.).

This week we had one of our partner schools go virtual for a day and I am not sure if you were made aware of this in a timely manner. I have requested to receive the notifications of these on future events, and I will begin to forward that information to you to keep you in the loop. I apologize for any inconvenience this caused.

Please do not prop open the door leading to the hallway by CRD. We are needing to direct everyone to the two automatic doors where we have people to welcome customers. Thank you for your help and cooperation in this endeavor and please come speak with me if you have any questions!
