Message from the Frog Pond
Some of you may know that I am taking graduate courses in leadership this year. My current course has me thinking about school culture and the impact it plays on school performance. How can we keep our voluntary foundation, but at the same time lean into that respectful, positive, and affirming culture that is constantly on display here at Benner and online in our virtual office? Every day I am hearing new relationships being formed, even with students that have been enrolled for some time.
Every day I notice teachers meeting kids where they are and encouraging them to partake in the growth mindset. Every day I see mini lessons turn into lifelong learning experiences.
If you are hesitant to reach out for help or just to hang out, don’t overthink it! Be a part of the growth mindset here.
- Frog

Star Student
Braden F. - 11th Grade
Mr. DiPippa - Braden currently has a perfect grade in his math course. He completes all work with fidelity and due diligence, and his efforts are paying off. Braden also is a great help around the Drop-in Center, assisting both teachers and other students alike. Braden is a true asset to the Cyber Academy community, and we appreciate having him with us.
Ms. Krzesinski - Braden is such a wonderful student, I really can't say enough enough about him. His grades are stellar, he asks for help and works with teachers, and he is great at motivating his peers.
Mr. Hulik - Braden is a wonderful addition to the drop-in center community. He helps students with their work and make sure they are always doing the right thing. His cheerfulness adds a level of kindness and joy to the classroom. He has an excellent grade in his Earth Science class and always reaches out for help if he needs it.
Mr. Froggatt - If we had a yearbook, Braden would have "most likely to be voted President someday" under his picture.

2024-2025 Senior Announcements
Mrs. Lewis is your college info guru!
If you are in the process of applying to college/post-secondary schools, please send Ms. Lewis an email (lewisw@casdschools.org) to let her know. She can answer any questions you have about the process, talk about schools that are appropriate for your major, etc. She has to send your official transcript to each school once you apply, so it's important that she's in the loop!

Course Requests for the Spring Semester
Students in grades 9-12 must choose new elective courses for the spring semester, which begins on January 24, 2025. A course sheet and a link to a Google doc will be emailed to your school email address in the coming days. Course requests are due no later than Monday, 1/6/25. If you do not submit course requests, courses will be chosen for you. It's critical that students in grades 9-11 maintain a full course load of 7 credits per year in order to stay on track for graduation.
Seniors, if you played your cards right, you may not need more electives to meet graduation requirements in June. Please take a minute to complete the Google doc anyway. Ms. Lewis will confirm your credits and only add the course that you need.
Thank you!!
