OCTOBER IS FENTANYL AWARENESS MONTH
Fentanyl, a synthetic opioid 50-100 times more potent than morphine, is in our community and can be lethal with just 2 milligrams. In 2021, over 71,000 Americans died from fentanyl, including 1,672 Texans—an 89% increase from the previous year. Drug traffickers disguise fentanyl to look like prescription drugs and candy, targeting children. Parents are urged to discuss these dangers with their kids. Visit One Pill Kills for more info.
ASVAB ON NOVEMBER 7TH - DEADLINE 10/28
FHS will administer the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) to interested students in grades 10, 11, and 12 on November 7, 2024. The ASVAB is the most widely used multiple-aptitude test battery in the world. The ASVAB was originally designed to predict future academic and occupational success in military occupations. In addition, numerous validation studies indicate the exam predicts abilities for a wide variety of occupations. Participation in ASVAB is always voluntary and the assessment is free of charge. ASVAB scores are not reported to post-secondary educational institutions, and it is not a substitute assessment for the SAT and/or ACT. Please contact our CT Facilitator, Lisa Natali at Natalil@friscoisd.org, with any questions.

General facility maintenance, paving, landscape repairs
Safety & security improvements
New turf for baseball/softball fields with seating less than 1,000
Transportation and equipment needs
Proposition C: Provides funding for technology, including replacement devices for staff and students on a 5-year rotation, along with network updates and improved wireless access.
Proposition D: Funds a new tennis center with 16 outdoor courts to serve students and the community.
FHS DOORBELL SYSTEM / ATTENDANCE REMINDERS
- All parents/guardians picking up their student will need to have a valid driver’s license to show at the camera for their student to be released outside of the building.
- If your student driver needs to leave for an appointment, please email our attendance clerk in advance at FHS_Attendance@friscoisd.org. As a general attendance reminder - all absences, excused and unexcused, count toward the state’s compulsory attendance law. When a student's attendance rate drops below 90%, the student may earn credit for the class or a final grade by completing a plan approved by the principal. All absences can easily be submitted in the form at the top of our campus website. Learn more about the attendance policy.
- Frisco High School does not accept deliveries/drop-offs to the campus for pickup by students so please plan accordingly prior to the start of the school day. Thank you.
