CLEARWATER STEAM NEWSLETTER
Home of the Dolphins - May 12 -16, 2025
Welcome Back Clearwater Elementary STEAM Families,
This week, students in grades 3–6 will begin the CAASPP (SBAC) English Language Arts testing. We are so proud of the hard work our students have put in all year, and now is their chance to show what they know!
To help support your child’s success, we ask families to help by:
✅ Ensuring your child eats a healthy breakfast
✅ Making sure they go to bed early for a full night’s rest
✅ Helping them arrive at school on time and ready to do their best
You’ll see a simple tracking sheet coming home each day. Please initial it daily to confirm your child was well-rested, nourished, and prepared for the day.Your support makes a big difference. Together, we can help our students feel confident, focused, and proud of their efforts.
Clearwater Staff Appreciation Week
Happy Staff Appreciation Week to our amazing Clearwater team! We are so grateful for the dedication, heart, and hard work our staff brings each and every day. Because of their commitment, Clearwater continues to be a place where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to do their best.

CAASPP AWARDS
On Friday, we held our CAASPP Awards Assembly to celebrate the hard work and academic success of our 4th–6th grade students. We recognized those who reached proficiency in ELA and/or Math, as well as students who demonstrated academic growth from the previous year on last year's CAASPP. Each award recipient was celebrated for their achievement and encouraged to continue striving for grade-level proficiency again this year. Students were encouraged to try their best and to focus on growth and improvement. It was a proud moment for our school community to honor the effort, perseverance, and progress of our students! 203 awards were handed out!
SCIENCE FAIR
At Clearwater Elementary STEAM, we believe every student is a scientist. As part of our commitment to hands-on, inquiry-based learning, every student in grades 3–6 participates in our annual Science Fair. On Friday we celebrated the outstanding efforts of our Science Fair wnners. Each teacher selected three standout projects from their class, and from those, a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner was chosen for each grade level. See results below.
MENTAL HEALTH DAY
A big thank you to Ms. Baker and team for organizing meaningful mental health activities during recess last week! The acivities provided students to connect with one another. These moments of mindfulness and connection make a lasting impact and support the social-emotional well-being of our students.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS
Attendance Matters - EVERY Day / La asistencia importa: ¡CADA día
There is so much learning going on every day at Clearwater - we don't want our students to miss a moment! As much as we like long weekends, missing a Monday or a Friday can have a big impact on students' achievement. We want to see every student at school, every day. Students earn Splash Cash for attending school each day, and DOUBLE the Splash Cash if they are at school every day for the week - including Monday and Friday.
