Message from Principal Higgins

Dear Academy Families & Friends,

March is almost over and we have officially reached the third and final trimester of the 2021-22 school year. As the days get longer and warmer, there are lots of great things coming out from our classrooms and different committees. Please make sure to read these newsletters carefully as there are many opportunities and links embedded in these new s'mores:

  • The Read Across Academy challenge goes on thru the end of the month.
  • Just a reminder that this is the Championship week for the ST Math Challenge...from tonight through next Sunday, we need to see our best week of puzzle completions yet to take home the trophy. The winning school will get a disco-lunch party, an extra recess for the top classroom, and several lucky students will get to go "Pie Face" yours truly if we win.
  • MCAS is coming in two weeks, starting with grade 5 and 4. Our infrastructure trial went well on Thursday. Please make sure your child's chromebooks Operating Systems (OS) are updated each weekend and are charged/ready. Also please make sure all other electronics are kept at home during exam days.
  • Parent/Teacher Conference letters will be coming out on Monday March 28th. Please make sure you sign up for one.
  • March 30th at 6:30 pm in the Kindergarten Information Night (virtual).
  • Our math team is hosting a Coffee & Math session at 10am on March 30th. Click here for more information.
  • Health & Wellness has a focus this month on Nutrition. Please click here the interactive gSlide from the team. There are many different activities families can do to learn more about healthy eating and activities
  • Special thank you to all of the students & families that joined us this past Friday for the Walking School Bus. Check out our social media sites for lots of great pics from the event.

Thank you for support our school and keeping our community strong!
