Happy Friday Panther families. We've had another excellent week here at the middle school!

We are almost done with September and are headed into the mid way point of our first quarter. Please be sure to check your child's academic progress in PowerSchool. If you are unable to login or have questions about PowerSchool, please feel free to contact the middle school office at (269) 623-1541 or come in during our office hours of 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.

With us entering October, DKMS will once again be offering our after school Success Center for students who need extra time to complete assignments or need some extra assistance in completing their assignments. The goal is to start the Success Center the week of October 7th. Success Center is two days a week from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. I will send out details next week about what days Success Center will be on and which teacher(s) will be running it. Stay tuned!

As we begin fall, the weather will begin to get cooler. All of our students go out for recess and it is important that they dress for the weather. On rainy days and cold winter days we will have indoor recess, but every other day students will be required to go outside.

Finally next week we will be celebrating Homecoming Week. In the middle school we will be having Spirit Days. The list of each Spirit Day is attached in the newsletter. We hope that all students choose to participate. Spirit Day outfits still need to be school appropriate and follow our dress code. Also, our DK PIE Walk-A-Thon will take place on Friday October 4, 2024. If your child collected any donations please make sure those donations are turned into their teacher or the office by Wednesday October 2, 2024. We thank you in advance for any donations!

As always, I would like to thank our students, staff, families, and community for all that you do. I know it feels like the summer goes by too fast, but the school year moves at that same quick pace. Before you know it we will be having Parent/Teacher Conferences and talking about Halloween!

Have a great weekend!

JUST CAN'T HIDE THAT PANTHER PRIDE!!!

Thank you,

Bobby Tillman

The athletic department has implemented some new tools and strategies to streamline communication and transparency throughout the department. These new programs should help streamline communication, event ticket purchases and potentially some registrations in the near future.

* Eventlink.com is where information for athletic events and facility usage can be found. Tickets and season passes can be purchased through Eventlink, and you are able to customize your experience by choosing which sports you would like communications from.

* Finalforms.com is where physicals and other important documents should go. These documents can be uploaded by your phone by taking a picture of the document.

* The Athletic Department would prefer all pay to participate payments go through this virtual portal for all Middle School and High School athletes.

Pay to Participate Fees can be paid HERE

* Hudl.com is where fans can subscribe to watch live streams of home events that occur at the turf stadium or the High School main gymnasium.
