Positive Behavioral Supports at Lilja

Dear Families,

We’re excited to share about a spirited and fun event happening over the next few weeks at school—the Staff Spirit Showdown! This Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament brings our staff together in friendly competition to highlight and celebrate the core value of Respect.

This will take place the week we return from break!

  • Each staff member receives a strand of beads representing their team color.
  • Throughout the week, staff challenge colleagues to quick Rock-Paper-Scissors matches during breaks and passing times.

  • Winners collect beads from their opponents, and the tournament builds excitement as teams compete!

  • All matches are played with kindness, fairness, and good sportsmanship. Students will be engaging in ongoing discussions and learning activities about being a good sport and cheering for others in a respectful manner.

  • The week ends with a final tournament during a whole-school assembly to crown the champion.
