A Community meeting was held last week to discuss the "restart" plan with the Superintendent. The restart plan requires that the school administration and many staff members be replaced or reapply for their positions.

Students remarked about how much fun this year's field day was with lots of games, slides, dunk tank, popcorn, snow cones, etc. We are very thankful to our PTA for working so hard all year to fund our field day. It was an an amazing day for the students (and the staff).

Ms. Hernandez-James and the NJHS students led a beautiful and emotional induction ceremony this week. After years of hard work in their classes and community service, we are so proud to have them as official members of the National Junior Honor Society.

Author Jasminne Mendez visited Webb this past Thursday to discuss her books about her characters that reflect her life as a Dominican American and her struggles with autoimmune disease. The students really enjoyed her discussions. Thank you to Ms. Reyna for putting together this visit.

I'm not sure who was more excited, the Webb staff for getting Whataburger lunches or the Whataburger staff who were happy to put together the boxes for the Webb staff. We're glad everyone enjoyed their Wednesday treat.

Andromeda Doyé- the Deputy Chief of Staff from the Office of State Senator Sarah Eckhardt District 14- dropped off donations to Webb MS. They heard about our need from the CIS event at Webb. We are grateful for their support!

8th grader Shayla, 7th grader Vanessa, and 6th grader Alika were chosen to attend the Women Leading the Way program to connect with women in leadership roles. The students were introduced to industry professionals and vendors doing business with AISD, and helped with career planning, goal setting, navigating challenges, and identifying opportunities for growth. Great job, girls!

Congratulations to our tennis team and coach Garcia for their zone and tournament victory taking 1st place!!!! We are so proud of all your success this year (and for your advocacy).

Hello Webb Families:

Thank you for all your support at the Community Meeting last week. Despite so much growth in the past few years, the plan is part of a turn around plan. As of now, the plan by the district is still in place to "restart" Webb, Burnet, and Dobie will all new administration and many new staff members.

This is a reminder that the Webb Band Concert and Awards Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025 at 5:30 PM in the gym. The event will feature performances by our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands.

We look forward to celebrating a fantastic year of music and honoring our outstanding band students. We hope to see you there!
