August Lunch Menu
Back to School Night
Drop Offs & Messages for Students
Student lunch choices should be made prior to coming to school each day. If you need to drop off lunch, homework, sports uniforms, etc. for your student, place them on the table outside the office. Make sure the item is clearly marked with your student’s name and room number and email your child’s teacher to relay the message.
Messages for students should be limited to urgent situations such as a change in pick-up plans. Email your child’s teacher as early as possible to relay the information to your student. Messages & voicemails to the office might not reach the teacher in a timely manner, so it is best to communicate directly.
Thank you for helping us avoid unnecessary stress for our CUBS and for keeping things running smoothly!
Volunteers Needed for Book Fair!
The Scholastic Book Fair will be at Garfield September 8 – 12. The fair opens at 7:35 am and closes at 3:15 pm Mon-Thurs. The fair ends at 11 am on Friday. Come shop the amazing selection of books for your student, their teacher, and yourself! If you can volunteer, please contact Mrs. Hedrick at cherylhedrick@cusd.com. See you there!
Parent Square
Clovis Unified's way to communicate with parents and for you to communicate with us is an app called ParentSquare. ParentSquare is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection with your school(s) and the district. It provides a safe way for parents, district administrators, school principals, teachers, and staff to:
- Send and receive school and class information
- Share pictures and files
- See calendar items
- Sign up to volunteer
- Schedule parent-teacher conferences
- and much more . . . all in one centralized place!
- To join ParentSquare and link to Garfield, and for more information, click here!
Student Arrival / Dismissal
Parents, please do not drop off your student until 7:35. Our staff are not on duty until that time, so supervision is not available. Leaving your child unattended is not allowed. Breakfast is served in the Cub Café beginning at 7:35. Due to bell schedules it will not be possible for ASI/BHS students to pick up Garfield siblings after school. Students may not wait on campus, in classrooms, or in the office for siblings to arrive as no after school supervision is available. Expanded Learning Club provides before and after school care. For more information, call 327-9160.
Coming Soon - Picture Day!
Would You Like to Volunteer at Garfield?
Garfield LOVES our volunteers! You will find the online CUSD volunteer application by clicking here. This application must be completed every 4 years. To complete the application, you will need a current (within 4 years) negative TB test, or a completed TB Risk Assessment form to upload. A school nurse will be available on campus at Back to School Night to assist with this. The office will then review and approve your application. The final step will be coming into the office with your drivers license so we can run it through the Megan's Law system. Then you will be ready to volunteer!
