4 Year Old Preschool

Book Buddies with some of Mrs. Goodchild's class. This was a fun opportunity to make a classroom connection with an older group of students that also goes to West Elementary. We are planning another fun activity together soon!

Miss Kaitlin came and shared everything she knows about turkeys! It was a fun visit and we learned a lot! We can’t wait to celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends.

Kindergarten Readiness

Readiness students have been learning about Families and Communities. We enjoyed reading with 3rd graders for our PBIS celebration. We made a visit to the Emmetsburg Pizza Ranch to learn how to make pizza and eat at a restaurant in our community. We also spent some time playing together at Soper Park. We thank Ms. Kaitlin for coming to teach us more about turkeys just in time for Thanksgiving!

2nd Grade

2nd grade has had a busy month! They had potato olympics to wrap up a knowledge unit. Ask a second grader what there favorite part was! Miss Kaitlin for the nature center also came and spoke with second graders! We learn so much from her when she bring all her materials in to share with us! In math we are working on labeling number lines.

3 year old preschool

The students in 3-year-old preschool have been working on comparing and measuring. We spent a few days following a recipe to make our own play-doh. We compared the sizes of the measuring cups we needed, sizes of bowls we would need and the amount of each ingredient we had to add to our bowl. We had to use our strong arm muscles to mix all of the ingredients together. Then we used our hands to knead the dough so it was well mixed and ready for play! The students are now enjoying the completed play-doh to make creations of their own!
