Holiday Season: Making Memories With Friends Holiday Season: Making Memories With Friends

By Magdalena Kruk and Lauren Hunter, International Program

This holiday season Student Ambassadors and international students gathered together to celebrate the tradition of baking and decorating cookies. This event offered a chance to share their cultures in a colorful and delicious way. The shapes, styles, and flavors came together to create something as unique as their creators themselves. The event was accompanied by sharing stories in the ambiance of seasonal songs from around the world. Singing and dancing to holiday music was a wonderful way to partake in the excitement and magic of the season.

Additionally, international students had the opportunity to enjoy the festive holiday spirit of New York City on a day trip to the Big Apple. The trip consisted of traveling to the SoHo neighborhood to view designer boutiques, visiting a traditional Japanese hairdresser to receive service, viewing the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, and strolling Times Square to experience the city’s holiday rush and festive dynamic.

The Gilbert School wishes Maja Busse (Germany) and Maria Castilla (Brazil) safe travels as they return home to continue their high school studies.
