Lutherville Lab Report
What's gone down & what's coming up at the leopards' lair.
October 20th, 2023
Fall Family Night was a true highlight of the week, and the year so far. As always, it was a joy to celebrate the diversity that we treasure in our community. We are so proud of our 3rd graders for their performances. And we hope you enjoyed the various family activities and opportunity to be together with the Lutherville Lab Family.
I wanted to take an opportunity this week to recognize the tremendous effort the staff at Lutherville Lab is putting into this school year. This is the 3rd year that our team is embracing the challenge of learning and adapting to a new curriculum -- no small feat in the context of still finding and filling gaps incurred (in part, for some) due to virtual learning. The staff here do so with care, with great professionalism, and with this community's children at the center of all they do. This is a great time of year to offer some words of gratitude and encouragement to a Lutherville teacher, if you feel so inclined!
Activities are in full swing at Lutherville, with many of our clubs up and running. Don't forget to check the offerings in the attachment. We have field trips for Kindergarten and Fourth Grade on Monday and Tuesday respectively. Tuesday evening are meetings of the Equity Guiding Coalition a General PTA Meeting. Friday is a super fun evening event with Build a Leopard and Movie Night! And don't forget that next week is Spirit Week!
Finally, we are passing along an opportunity from LTRC CO-OP TOTS looking for part-time lead teachers for 2024-2025. Please see the attachment for more.

After the run, the participants will receive refreshments and medals will be awarded to the top three boys and girls of each grade level. All participants will then have a chance to win a turkey and other various prizes.
This is an excellent opportunity to have fun with your friends, get exercise and help those less fortunate! Please see the attached registration form for more information.
Costumes are optional! Costume masks and weapons will NOT be allowed.
NFL PLAY60 is about to begin its final week. This is a four-week program where students track their physical activity. Attached is the Student Game Planner for your child to track their daily activity minutes. Here are a few notes about the program.

- Parents will need to sign off at the bottom of each weekly column.
- Students must hand in completed and signed Student Game Planners by Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

Fall Family Night Cultural Fair Thanks
This event gets better and better each year! We extend our sincere gratitude to Shimaa Hussien and Liz Roe for coordinating the cultural fair during Fall Family Night and to the many families who provided beautiful and delicious representations of their home countries and cultures for our community to enjoy. We enjoyed learning from you and seeing your enthusiasm. We also thank the staff for sharing their artifacts and noting their heritage on our world map.
