April 2025

Spring has sprung!
April is blooming with fun and creativity at the library! Teens can kick off the month with Rice Krispy Tricks, celebrating April Fool’s Day with treats (or maybe a few tricks!). Later, they can unleash their creativity at Paint and Plant, where they'll decorate terra cotta pots and plant succulents to bring a touch of spring to their space. Younger kids have so much to look forward to, too! Join us for Roar and Explore, an Easter egg hunt featuring our beloved mascot, Dani, and don't miss Russell’s Rescue with special guests Ms. McGee and Russell from Danville’s South Elementary. And that's just the beginning - our regular monthly programs are in full swing, with even more excitement on the way in May!

April Kid Librarian
Audrey
Introducing our April Kid Librarian of the Month: Audrey, age 2! Audrey has already achieved an incredible milestone by completing the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program - and she didn’t stop there! Audrey has read over 1,200 books with her mom, showcasing their shared love for literacy. Audrey and her family are big fans of the library, attending many of our programs and bringing their joyful enthusiasm wherever they go.
Audrey’s favorite book is any Peppa Pig book, and her favorite author is Neville Astley. She adores Daddy Pig and enjoys reading picture books with her mom. When she’s not reading, Audrey is a busy bee - coloring, swimming, doing gymnastics, attending Toddler Trek, painting at uPaint, going to church, preschool, soccer, visiting museums, spending time with friends, shopping, playing with animals, visiting Home Depot and Lowe’s, and going to dance class.
Audrey adores Ms. Frankie, who inspires her with fun and engaging story times at the library. We’re so proud of Audrey’s love for reading and her amazing accomplishments. Keep shining, Audrey! 🌟
