October is National Bullying Prevention Month
Throughout the month of October, GISD is engaging students in meaningful conversations and activities focused on bullying prevention, kindness, inclusion, belonging, and creating safe and supportive school environments.
As part of these districtwide efforts, our campuses will celebrate Unity Day on Wednesday, October 21!
We encourage all students and staff to wear ORANGE as a symbol of our commitment to standing together against bullying and promoting kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.
Together, we can create school communities where every student feels safe, supported, included, and valued. Let’s stand united and show that kindness matters!

A Quick Note From Your GHS Nurse:
Hi, Parents! It has been a busy month here in the nursing office, but we have been enjoying getting to know your kids. Here in the health office, we have been seeing a lot of our students struggling to stay awake. They often request to come to the nurse just to rest and sleep because they aren't getting good sleep at home. Attached is a hand out of some ways to encourage your teen to get good sleep hygiene. Sleep is so important for their overall health and wellness. Let's help our teens stay rested and healthy as we go into cold and flu season!
