The Town of Sunnyvale needs your input as we conduct a comprehensive update of the Town’s Mobility Plan. The Mobility Plan will help the Town prepare for future transportation needs, expansion and possible funding for our trails and bikeway network, as well as the development of area highway projects. The survey link will be available until the end of the day on May 20.

Work continues on $17.5 million worth of road improvement projects previously approved by the Sunnyvale Town Council.

This week's activity is scheduled to include:

• Moisture barrier installation along select sections of roadway began the week of April 15 and is expected to be completed by mid-May. Visit the Road Projects webpage for more details.
• Targeted asphalt repair work will begin after Memorial Day (5/27) along Collins between Tripp and Town East. Please be on the lookout for construction crews for this work that will last into June.

The Town of Sunnyvale, Republic Services and United Electronic Recycling gave Sunnyvale residents a chance to boost their spring-cleaning efforts last weekend.

More than 300 vehicle loads of bulky items, documents for shredding, electronics and more were brought to the annual Keep Sunnyvale Shining Trash Off at the Sunnyvale ISD Intermediate School Parking lot. Event organizers say they filled four roll-off dumpsters and four rear-load trash trucks. Town staff from the Parks, Public Works, Development Services, Police and Water Billing Departments supported the event.

The Trash Off was originally scheduled for April 20 but was postponed due to inclement weather.
