College Financial Aid Help!
This is a reminder that scholarship and financial aid priority deadlines are happening now through early spring for many Virginia colleges, including Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), James Madison University (JMU), Roanoke College, Ferrum College, Bridgewater College, and others. Many have a FAFSA deadline of MARCH 1.
Our GRASP Advisor is here to help families complete the FAFSA!
Great Aspirations Scholarship Program
Lord Botetourt High School is excited to share that our school division has partnered with GRASP (Great Aspirations Scholarship Program), a Virginia-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping students access and afford post-secondary education. Through this partnership, Ms. Amy Hammond, our GRASP Advisor, will be here on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the remainder of the first semester and on either Tuesday or Thursday starting in January through the remainder of the year.
About GRASP:
GRASP’s mission is to support students and their families, offering encouragement, assistance with the financial aid process, and access to scholarships. Their team works to ensure that every student has an equal opportunity to pursue education after high school, regardless of financial or social circumstances.
A key part of GRASP’s work is helping students secure financial aid for college or other post-secondary programs, ensuring they can achieve their goals at the lowest possible cost.
We look forward to welcoming our GRASP advisor to LBHS and encourage students and families to take advantage of this valuable resource. More details will be shared soon!
