PEAR HSA Opt In Permission Form

Today, a paper copy of the caregiver permission form for PEAR’s Holistic Student Assessment (HSA) is being sent home with all students in Grades 3–5.

Because the HSA is a student self-report survey designed to give our students a voice in sharing their strengths, relationships, and school experience, signed caregiver permission is required for your child to participate. Returning this form is essential, as it allows us to better understand your child's needs, highlight their strengths, and tailor our social-emotional support and strategies to foster a safe, inclusive environment.

Please check your child’s folder today, complete the form, and return it to their classroom teacher as soon as possible. If you have any questions about the HSA, feel free to contact School Psychologist Kyle Duclos at kduclos@sau16.org or 603-772-5413.

SMS is Participating in the New Hampshire Department of Education's Program Approval Process

Our school district is currently participating in the New Hampshire Department of
Education's Program Approval and General Supervision (PAGS) review process. As part of this process, the Bureau of Special Education Support is gathering feedback from families and caregivers of children with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to help ensure that students receive the supports and services they need. I want to invite you to participate in a virtual, one-hour focus group organized, facilitated, and managed by the Parent Information Center of New Hampshire (PIC) on October 27, 2026 from 5:00-6:00pm. PIC is committed to providing families with an opportunity to share their experiences in a supportive environment. Participation in the focus group is confidential and no personally identifiable information is shared with the NH Department of Education or the school district. To ensure confidentiality, pre-registration for the focus group is required.

Stratham School Board September Update

The Board was briefed on the student assessment schedule. The board also reviewed their cash management plan as outlined by the subcommittee and approved the recommendations from that committee to invest their money with different institutions in order to get better returns on their investments. The first round of renovations are mostly done and they look fantastic! Huge improvements to safety and security, ADA and code compliance, lighting, new roof, and more. Thank you taxpayers for supporting our amazing public school. See a video of the renovations here.
