A Heartfelt Thank You for Back-to-School Generosity

As we kick off a new school year, the spirit of our community is brighter than ever! This back-to-school season brought an incredible wave of unexpected helpings hands and generous donations to our schools, and we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude.

We've long known that it takes a village to support our students, and your actions have shown just how strong that village is. The generosity we've witnessed will make a real difference in the lives of many children as they settle into their classrooms.

Corporate Kindness Makes a Big Impact

We'd like to extend a special thank you to the following businesses for their thoughtful contributions:

  • Vaupell in Constantine demonstrated their commitment to local education by donating a substantial amount of school supplies to our students at Eastside Elementary. These essential items will help set all students up for a successful year.

  • The team at Lippert in Middlebury went above and beyond with a friendly and very competitive back-to-school drive. This phenomenal effort raised both funds and school supplies that were distributed to both Riverside Elementary and Eastside Elementary. Their enthusiasm and drive will provide a significant boost to both schools.

A Gift of Warmth

In addition to these incredible drives, we were touched by the kindness of an anonymous donor who contributed a generous supply of clothing for our students. This thoughtful gift will help ensure children have comfortable, appropriate attire, removing one more barrier to a successful school day.

The overwhelming response and commitment from our local businesses and neighbors have been truly heartwarming. We are beyond grateful for our community's generosity in supporting our students, teachers, and schools. Thank you for making this a memorable and successful start to the school year!

School Resource Officer & Riggs School Resource Officer & Riggs

Building Connections at CMS

Riggs, our school comfort dog, is settling in wonderfully to the school climate across our buildings. This year, Constantine Middle School is partnering with School Resource Officer Stark to provide fun and meaningful opportunities for students to interact with Riggs.

Through the middle school’s Rise Up ticket program, students can now earn β€œRiggs Bucks”. These can be redeemed for a special one-on-one session with Riggs in the office during Homeroom. This new reward has quickly become a favorite, with students eagerly looking forward to starting their day alongside Riggs.

These moments not only give students a positive start to their day but also help strengthen the bond between our students, staff, and our School Resource Officer. Riggs has already made a big impact, and we’re excited to continue building these connections throughout the year!

Friday Football Tailgate Brings Big Fun and Rivalry to Constantine! Friday Football Tailgate Brings Big Fun and Rivalry to Constantine!

On September 12th, our school grounds transformed into a hub of excitement as we hosted the Friday Football Tailgate! This special pre-game event brought an incredible energy to our small town, shining a spotlight on the spirited rivalry between Schoolcraft and Constantine in a way that was truly unforgettable.

The atmosphere was electric, showcasing the best of our community spirit and school pride. Attendees enjoyed a fantastic lineup of activities, including:

  • Delicious offerings from Tacos Guerrerenses and Small Town Girl Concession & Catering.

  • Custom-made spirit wear from a BOFA.

  • A chance to soak the Varsity Volleyball Team in the ever-popular dunk tank!

  • Vibrant designs from our talented cheerleaders at the face painting station.

  • Football Target Toss hosted by Rocket Football/Cheer

The fun didn't stop there! With the help of all our community partners, the evening was complete with rally towels, mini footballs, corn hole, an exciting onstage show, and even interviews with some of our community's finest.

A unique highlight of the evening was the incredible hands-on learning experience for our students. Our High School Digital Media Marketing class was granted a behind-the-scenes look at the production! Students got to see what goes into creating a high-quality pre-game show, similar to what they see on TV, offering invaluable insight into professional media production.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all of our show sponsors, all of our tailgate sponsors, and especially to Friday Football Tailgate for bringing such extra fun and excitement to our town. Events like this remind us of the great things that happen when our schools and community come together!

Operating Millage Ballot Proposal Operating Millage Ballot Proposal

Falcon Families,

This November, Constantine Public Schools will have an Operating Millage Proposal on the ballot. On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, district voters will be asked to consider restoring the non-homestead operating millage to the statutory maximum of 18 mills.

  • Applies only to: businesses, rental properties, and second homes

  • Does not affect: owner-occupied primary residences (where you live)

  • Last approved: 2013

If approved, the restoration would provide the operating funds required for day-to-day expenses such as classroom materials, programming, transportation, and maintenance. Without approval, Constantine Public Schools would lose approximately over $300,000 in state funding for classroom programs and student support.

Learn more by visiting our Operating Millage Web Page below.
