Riverside Mission/Purpose Statement
The mission of Riverside Elementary is to provide a nurturing, enthusiastic, and safe environment that acknowledges individual differences, encourages community involvement, and emphasizes an ongoing commitment to academic excellence.

10/30 - Book Character Dress Up Day
Students are invited to dress up like their favorite storybook character with a $1 donation benefitting Relay for Life! Your donation can be made online in advance on MyPaymentsPlus or cash can be sent in on 10/30. Costumes should not be scary, not have words, graphics, or weapons that are inappropriate for school. No face masks or fake blood. When it doubt, leave the accessories at home.

Sensory Storytime
Ms. Niki came to do Sensory Storytime! She works at the Suwanee Branch of the Gwinnett County Public Library. The Hungry Caterpillar even made an appearance!

5th Grade Event
Trunk or Treat is our next event on Thursday, October 22nd from 5:30-7:00 in the Riverside parking lot (car rider side)! This is not a drop-off event. Parents must accompany their child for the duration of the event. We encourage families to sign up to deck out their trunks and pass out candy to the kids! The more decorated trunks--the better! We are asking for 20 volunteers but would love to have even more! Siblings are welcome and $5 each. When pre-registering on the givebacks page please read the description and select the one that applies to the number of siblings that will attend. We will need LOTS of candy --please see the sign-up genius below to donate!

PTA Annual Food Drive
Food can be dropped off by your student in the front lobby on November 9-13th.
We will be collecting canned goods, hygiene products, non-perishable foods, and more.
This drive supports the North Gwinnett Coop.
- Open to K – 7th Grades. Teams by Grade and based on Friend/Buddy list requests (Co-Ed teams)
- All Games and Practices are on Sundays from Jan. 17 – March 14
- Teams are Coached by North Gwinnett Football Players
- 1 hour practice, followed by 1 hour of games
