I'm passing along this mid-summer update just to provide families with some important reminders as we get closer to August. I especially want to highlight the important dates below so you can mark your calendars now. Later this summer, I will send out a much more detailed "Back to School" message to help you better prepare for the 2025-2026 School Year.

2025 - 2026 GJPS School Calendar

For your convenience, consider taking advantage of our Yubbler School Supplies Program. Yubbler.com is making our school-supply lists available for online purchasing at a discounted price. The best part is that Yubbler will donate 50% of the profits back to our school!

To use the Yubbler platform, follow these steps:

(1) Find the supply list for your child's grade by clicking on the link below. Please note: the link takes you to the 6th-grade supply list by default, but you can access the other grades' supply lists in the column on the left.

(2) Click on the purchase button ("Add Full List"), then, enter your shipping and billing information.

(3) You can customize your cart in Checkout by removing or adding items.

(4) You're done!

There is no deadline to purchase supplies; however, we recommend purchasing supplies at least two weeks before school starts to ensure your student has supplies for the 1st day of school.

From Mr. Phil Dorn, Director of Middle School Athletics:

On Thursday, 7/31, there will be a MANDATORY meeting for all FALL athletes & their parents.

This meeting will take place at 6:30PM in the Middle School WEST Auditorium. Then, immediately after this meeting, coaches will hold meetings for specific sports in various breakout spaces around the MSW building.

The first official day of practice for Fall sports is August 1st. Students WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND PRACTICE IF THEY DO NOT ATTEND THE MEETING ON 7/31.

A plan for families who are unable to attend this meeting is being developed now and will be communicated as soon as available.

As I work with my leadership team to finalize important details for the upcoming year, I will send out a more robust communication later on this summer with everything you need to know for the 25-26 school year.
