Belles Bulletin

Your kiddos are working very hard. We are getting used to the schedule each day. Mrs. Mitchell has been joining us on Mondays for push in speech services and she will be co-teaching in the classroom some on Mondays. Snack Shack was successful. This is an opportunity for our students to have communication with different people and work on math skills at the same time. (Plus the teachers love it.) This coming week we will be starting in the Unique Learning System program. The kids are familiar with the program. Please continue to look at the purple folders for daily information and sign and return so I know that you saw it.

Reading:

We are going to be focusing on letters and letter sounds. We will also be reading stories and working on being able to identify characters and setting to answer who, when, and where questions.

Math:

Our focus is on numbers and number correspondence from 1-10. Please take time to reinforce this at home with counting collections (counting objects) up to 10. We are also going to work on the concept of more and less.

Writing:

This is going to be an area of focus for us. We need to develop those writing skills and critical thinking skills. Our focus is identifying the main idea of the story.

Science:

We are going to talk about things sinking or floating.

Tiger Paw:

The focus for this week is Friendly - Kind and Pleasant. Talk about this with your child at home.
