Together, let's all give thanks for the transformative impact we have on each other and the learners and teachers we support.

Our Coaching Agreements
Back in September the participating regional coaches discussed the value of creating group agreements with both educators and students. Together we came up with a list of mutual understandings that we feel with help strengthen the cohesiveness and community of our group as we continue to grow. We would love everyone to look at the list and give feedback. Are there agreements that should be added or adjusted to better fit our needs? We appreciate everyone's ideas.
Thank you to Katie from Core Collaborative
We would like to extend our gratitude to Katie Smith for leading our October Huddle. For those who were unable to join us, we have links to her slides/video and the Math Progressions referred to in the session. We would very much appreciate your feedback and hope to continue discussions around the Formative Assessment Process and helping teachers create clarity for our students.
Book Study with Michelle Harris
Book Study: January-April
Who is Michelle Harris?
Michelle Harris is a Senior Consultant with the Instructional Coaching Group. She has worked with IMESD for several years and presents all over the world. Michelle has co-authored Evaluating Instructional Coaching and The Instructional Playbook. We are excited that she is leading a book study for the IMED/OTREN Regional Coaches Huddle.
What book will we read?
The Advice Trap is about getting to grips with how to actually change your behavior so you stay curious a little bit longer. You have to tame your Advice Monster, that part of you that jumps in to offer up ideas, opinions, suggestions and advice.
When will we meet to discuss the book?
Michelle will lead three discussions: January 17, March 20, and April 17. (see upcoming huddles for details).
It's not too late. If you haven't done so already, please RSVP for the book study HERE . The Oregon Trail Regional Educator Network (OTREN) purchased books for those who have RSVP'd by October 30.
