Best Buddies!

This past Friday, our Best Buddies club gathered for their final celebration, bringing a perfect ending to an incredible inaugural year at Strayer Middle School! Throughout the year, this amazing group of students has fostered a culture of inclusion, kindness, and genuine friendship across our school community. We are so proud of the meaningful connections and lasting memories our students have made. A massive, heartfelt thank you goes out to Ms. Reilly and Ms. Caputo for sponsoring this club—we can’t wait to see this wonderful program continue to grow next year!

Celebrating Mr. Badway!

A massive shoutout to our new athletic secretary, Mr. Badway! Joining us right at the absolute craziest time—the very start of the spring sports season—Mr. Badway didn't just step into the role; he completely embraced it. He got up to speed at lightning pace, built solid relationships with staff, coaches, and students, and has already become deeply ingrained in our Strayer athletics culture.

Managing a sports season is no small feat, but he made the entire transition look completely seamless and pulled off a wildly successful spring season. We are so incredibly lucky to have you on the team, Mr. Badway. Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and for hitting the ground running!

What to Expect If Your 7th-Grade Student is at Strayer Next Week

While the majority of our staff and students are away supporting Outdoor School, we want to ensure a smooth and productive week for everyone at Strayer.

Students who are not attending Outdoor School (or are in the session remaining at Strayer) ) will follow a temporary "Lunch 3" schedule. They will move through the day with a dedicated cohort of peers and will complete their daily lessons primarily via Canvas. Because so many of our teachers will be off-site, these lessons may be facilitated by teachers may not their usual core instructors.

Thank you for your flexibility as we keep the learning going!

Eighth Grade Dance - June 5, 2026

Eighth Grade Dance - June 5, 2026

Theme: Hollywood We are so excited to offer our eighth grade students the opportunity to celebrate their days here at Strayer.  The dance includes a professional DJ, photo backdrop, and decorations.  To keep the cost of the dance at $5 per student, we are asking for parent help with snacks and drinks.  Below is a list of items that we would like to have for the students to help make the evening special.  Please consider donating one of the items on the list if your child is attending.  Thank you! 1.  "Finger" foods are a hit at the dance.  They can be individually wrapped or on a tray.  (Please label trays/containers with your child's name.) 2.  The kids are very thirsty, but they do not want to stand still long enough to consume a large amount.  The full-size bottles get wasted.  For this reason, we request small bottles of water, juice, and soda. 3.  Donated items that do not require refrigeration may be dropped off at the office during regular school hours.  All other items may be dropped off when you bring your child to the dance. Location:  Strayer Date:  Friday, June 5, 2026 Time:  6:00 PM - 8:30 PM

The Request for Assistance Form should be completed if you have non-urgent concerns regarding an area of your student’s educational programming that may need attention from the school team. Submission of this form does not trigger immediate intervention, but it will alert the school’s MTSS team to review your student’s data and follow up with you regarding your concern.
