Sectionals are required for Honors Band and Symphonic Band students only.

This event is for Symphonic Band students only.

This Wednesday, March 4th, is UIL Contest for Symphonic Band. The band has been working very hard over the last several weeks for this event. This is one of the most important events of the year and is the equivalent of a band STAAR test. It is mandatory and required.

Students will be given a copy of the logistics sheet in class this week. More details are below:

• When: Wednesday, 3/4
• Where: Argyle High School
• Symphonic Band Times: Performance: 1:10 PM
• Attire: Formal Concert Attire

Students will depart, perform, and return to campus all within school hours.

Students must bring their formal wear to Killian on Wednesday in either a labeled garment bag or a separate bag that prevents their clothes from wrinkling.

Parents and family members are allowed to attend UIL Contest. More details are included in the logistics sheet linked below.

This is a mandatory event for all band students. If you have questions, please email Mr. Davis or Mr. Ousey.

4:30 - 5:30 PM | 3 Spots | Assist with setup

8:45 - 9:45 PM | 5 Spots | Assist with tear down

Due to ongoing construction in the HHS Auditorium, we have the privilege of hosting all Pre-UIL activities for this year.

Setup: 4:30PM - 5:30PM : We need 3 parent helpers to help Mr. Davis and students set up the gym and band hall.

Tear-Down: 8:45PM - 9:45PM: We need 5 parents to help Mr. Davis and the Tarp Crew tear down the gym and reset the hallway.

Any help you can provide us on this day will be greatly appreciated, as all the Band Liaisons will also be helping on this day in other areas. Stay tuned for more upcoming Pre-UIL & UIL events.

We need your help with our Beginner Band Solo contest. We need parent volunteers to act as band hall and room monitors. This is a great event! It's a fun experience to see these students perform their solos for the first time. It's also a great opportunity to meet other parents!
