NJSLA Testing

  • Third and fourth grade NJSLA testing is coming up!
  • To help your child prepare, please make sure they get plenty of rest and eat a healthy breakfast before testing days. Make sure their chromebook is charged and that they bring wired headphones with them to school- wireless headphones will not work. Additionally, please make sure they arrive to school on time.
  • We are assigning all they need to practice here at school, but if you would like to do something extra to help them out at home, we have included resources below to help with test anxiety and test vocabulary.

Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week

  • May 4th through May 8th is Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week!
  • Our goal is to celebrate our incredible teachers and staff with a full week of meals, treats, and small surprises to show how much they mean to our school community. We’re inviting families to contribute through monetary donations, as outlined in the attached flyer.
  • We would also love to partner with our Central community in other ways. If you or someone you know is able to donate goods or services, such as food, beverages, gift cards, or other items to help make the week extra special, please reach out to us directly. Community support in any form can make a big impact and help us create a memorable experience for our staff.

Mother's Day Plant Sale

  • We’re excited to host our annual Mother’s Day Plant Sale and would love your help in making it a success! The sale will take place from May 5–8, and we invite you to volunteer if you’re available.
  • We especially need a few extra hands on Monday, May 4 at 5:00 PM, when the flowers are delivered to the school. Volunteers will help unload and set up the plant sale room—this should take no more than an hour and is a great way to lend a quick helping hand.
  • If you’re able to volunteer at any time during the sale, please sign up here
  • You’ll find more details in the attached flyer, including the anticipated times each class will visit the sale.
  • Thank you so much for your continued support—we truly appreciate our Central PTA community!
