Some Random Questions? Responses.....
- Is lunch and breakfast free? Yes, lunch and breakfast are free again this school year.
- If our child is walked to school, where do they enter the building? They will line up in the front of the building , we have a Kindergarten line. Once the bell rings they will go in.
- Where do students go in if they are getting breakfast? They will go in through the garden gates.
- What time can they arrive if being dropped off by car? They will be able to get out of their car at 8:40 and not any earlier. Our staff start their duty outside at 8:40. At 8:40, if they are getting breakfast, they may also go right in. If not, they wait outside with our adults on duty till the first bell rings at 8:50. Parents/Guardians do not get out of their car. Students must exit the car on the passenger side for safety reasons. Please have them ready to exit the car once you pull up.
- What time does school start? First bell rings at 8:50 and the tardy bell rings at 9:00.
- What if I am dropping my student off after 9:00? Parents need to go to the front of the building and MUST walk their child in to the school and sign them in. They can not be dropped of at the back at this time or in the front alone- there will be no adults outside any more at this time and for their safety they must be walked in and signed in.
- What if my child needs help with their lunch? The first week of school our wonderful PTSA board members will be at lunch to assist our Little Titans. We suggest you practice having them open items you may send them for lunch. They get 30 minutes (about 25 once settled) to eat. Setting a timer to let them practice eating lunch or dinner will give you a good idea about how much they can eat at during that time.
- What time does school get out? We start to dismiss at 3:35. Our carline is in the back and we will bring them out to you, you never have to get out of your car. Walkers will be walked out the front doors and will remain with a Kindergarten teacher until you arrive and our bus riders will be assisted to their bus once their bus arrives.
- Are parents able to enter the building on the first day to take students to their classroom? No, unfortunately for the safety of all our students and staff, we can not have parents walk their child to their classroom on their first day. We highly suggest you use our Supply Drop Off/Meet and Greet on August 18 AND your 1:1 time , August 20 or 21, to walk with your child to their classroom. We have many adults and safety procedures in place to get them to their classrooms on their first day. Take pictures prior to arriving to school , at Supply Drop Off/Meet and Greet and/or 1:1 meetings.
Have a question you need a response to before the 1st day of school?
If you have a question for us, please call our school office (216-898-8307) between 8:15 and 4:00 M-F. You can also email Mrs. Schneid at tschneid@bereaschools.org.
Please know that you will have more information given to you at Supply Drop Off/Meet and Greet and at your 1:1 meeting from their classroom teachers. No question is silly- we are here to help!
Car Tags
If your child will be a car rider, you will get a car tag (and backpack tag) at Supply Drop Off /Meet and Greet. If you are unable to attend, you can pick it up at your child's 1:1. We ask that you hang this in your car at pick up time. You will keep this tag and number your entire time at BPE. If you have an older child already attending BPE, your Kindergarten student will have that same established number.
Communication once school starts.....
Once school starts there will be multiple ways for communication:

2. Email- always be sure your email is accurate in Infinite Campus- Weekly our Little Titan News will be sent out. You will receive it via email, but it will also be linked in a text message.
3. Each classroom will have a DoJo account for quick share outs from your child's classroom teacher.
4. DoJo- we also have a schoolwide DoJo account that you will want to be able to access to see important school information
5. Parent Teacher conferences two times a year: Oct. 22 and Oct. 29 ( all families are asked to sign up) and then Feb. 18 is by teacher or parent request. Sign ups take place closer to the actually dates.
IC Online Payments: Important Message- Click the Orange Words above for more details on how to use Infinite Campus.
Infinite Campus is transitioning its online payment processor to Stripe. As part of this update, all families who make online payments through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal will need to re-enter their credit or debit card information the first time they make a payment after the transition.
What You Need to Know:
- Infinite Campus will now use Stripe to securely process online payments.
- Previously saved payment information will not transfer to the new payment processor.
- The first time you make an online payment after the transition, you will be prompted to enter your credit or debit card information again.
- Once your payment information has been entered, future payments can be completed as usual.
This change enhances the security and reliability of online payment processing while continuing to provide a convenient payment experience for families.
