Beginning Monday, Feb. 2 the collection focused on new or gently used books that will be donated to Book It Forward Idaho. These items will be collected from Feb. 2 until Feb. 13th. The third part of the Triple Threat Drive will be collecting school supplies that will be donated to Operation School Supplies. That will begin on Feb. 20th and go until Feb. 27th. Thank you for helping support our community. We will have totals from the book and school supply drive in the next newsletter.

News from the Library
Our library has undergone some amazing changes in the last year, in large part due to being awarded an Innovation Grant through the Boise Public Schools Foundation. With the grant we were able to purchase some much needed furniture, which has allowed us to create a flexible space for individual and group instruction, as well as a comfortable spot to hang out. Students and staff alike are loving the new space, and we know that this generous donation will continue to impact our library for years to come.

On Friday, February 27 some of our students had the opportunity to attend Tech Girlz, an all day opportunity to see technology in action. Students participated in hands on learning activities as well as heard from other females in the tech industry.
Cheer Showcase
On February 28th, our cheerleaders participated in the city Cheer Showcase at Fairmont. This showcase involved 7 of the 8 Boise junior high schools and showed the remarkable talent and dedication of our cheerleaders around the district. This was an opportunity for the cheerleaders to compete in front of a large crowd and get feedback from a panel of experts. Great job West Cheer Squad.
