WY SkillsUSA Wednesday Update
February 19, 2025

CEP DEADLINE IS TOMORROW: Thursday, Feb 20th
For more information see the 2025 SLSC Guide or call the Customer Care Team
The Chapter Excellence Program (CEP) is the single best way to build a successful SkillsUSA chapter. SkillsUSA Wyoming requires CEP participation of all chapters. Level 1 Quality Chapter status is required of all chapters interested in competing at the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference in April.
See the 2025 SLSC Guide for more information.
SkillsUSA Wyoming SLSC Registration opens Monday!
Registration Opens Monday, February 24th and Closes March 10th
Share it with your members, today!
It is a living document; please do not print as updates are made weekly for you within the links provided.
Have your competitors seen the Technical Standards?
A common and unfortunate theme in our competition feedback from judges and technical chairmen is that registered competitors were ill-prepared or worse, had no idea what they were doing.
If you have not provided the technical standards in areas of interest to your members, this is a disservice to your members, our judges, and our organization.
Members should feel confident and prepared in all areas listed in a competition's Technical Standards or the advisor should reserve said student for the following year.
*SLSC MANDATORY PRECONFERENCE ONLINE SUBMISSIONS
Online Submission opens March 10
In our attempt to comply as closely as possible with the National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC), all forms necessary to participate at the Wyoming Leadership and Skills State Conference (SLSC) will be submitted prior to arriving in Gillette or Casper, and electronically, online.

Did You Know That SkillsUSA is Recognized by WHSAA?
Wyoming High School Activities Association
SkillsUSA is a recognized activity of the WHSAA, therefore, your school district should be covering travel and hotel expenses.
- Local Budget Control: Funding for activities is under the control of local districts, leading to variations in budget allocations and potential resistance to changes. If you are a victim of funding falling only to athletic programs, reach to local business and industry support and turn the tide!
