All SaintsOutreach News

November 2022

This month is dedicated to gratitude. So thankful for the many people who gave their talents (or treasure) to make our Thanksgiving Basket distribution a success! We are grateful to the many veterans and active service members in our parish. This month, we also remembered those who have gone before us by placing flags at their gravesites at Woodbine. And finally, we are appreciative of our new monthly service opportunity at L'Arche. It's a great way to connect with God's creation and work alongside members of a wonderful community. As we sit down to our own Thanksgiving feasts this week, let us remember the actions of St. Margaret, who always made sure to feed the hungry before herself. St. Margaret, pray for us!

Holiday Help - Communities In Schools of Puyallup

To empower families experiencing financial stress and food insecurity over the holiday breaks, CIS of Puyallup will launch a two-prong Holiday Help campaign to collect gifts and provide food for [...]

St. Margaret of Scotland: A saint for service to the poor

St. Margaret of Scotland (1045-1093), the granddaughter of an English king, was born in Hungary due to her father's exile there as a child. Her early years were spent in the Hungarian court, among pious and observant Catholic royals. Her great-uncle, St.

Pastoral Care

We are resuming and expanding our ministry to the local nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Fieldstone Memory care is looking for someone to lead a communion service or religious music service once a week. Laudato Si

As we near the end of The United Nations Climate Change Convention COP27, Catholic Relief Services continues to advocate at COP27P for what is fair. This includes the acknowledgment that the South, particularly Africa, is impacted by Climate Change more than any other continent, yet they only contribute less than 4% of the total emissions. Visit www.crs.org for more information and to see how you can help!

“With regard to climate change, the advances have been regrettably few. Reducing greenhouse gases requires honesty, courage and responsibility, above all on the part of those countries which are more powerful and pollute the most... International negotiations cannot make significant progress due to positions taken by countries which place their national interests above the global common good. Those who will have to suffer the consequences of what we are trying to hide will not forget this failure of conscience and responsibility.” ~ Pope Francis, Laudato Si (Papal Encyclical)
