Dear Coppell Choir Family,

Happy last week of the 1st semester!
With semester exams coming up, please be sure to get plenty of rest and stay hydrated. For those taking the Choir semester exam, you will be completing a sight-reading quiz. We will also continue working on our solo projects throughout the week.

A quick reminder that UIL Solo Contest will take place on Saturday, January 24th at Coppell High School. Students who expressed interest should have received a StudentSquare message from Mrs. Coogle containing a Google Form to confirm your entry. Please submit your response by 12/16 at 10 PM.

🎉 Celebrating Madrigals!

We would like to take a moment to celebrate Madrigals on their fabulous performance this past Friday. Their Winter Showcase was entirely student-led, and we could not be more proud of them.
A special shout-out to Andra, our “Madrigals Queen,” for organizing rehearsals this semester and bringing the showcase to life!

Winter Social 🎄

Join us Tuesday in the Big Choir Room for our Winter Social! We’ll have hot chocolate, dessert, and pizza. Come hang out with us from 4:30pm - 6:30pm and enjoy a holiday movie together. We hope to see you there!

Exemption Criteria

• Student must be present the day of the exam
• 3 or fewer excused and/or unexcused absences by period
• 3 tardies = 1 unexcused absence
• No ISS, OSS, or DAEP
• Grade is 85% or above
• Based on grade IPR2 grade – Due December 2nd

Important Notes

• A list of students eligible for an exemption will be sent to you on Friday, December 12th
• Students will still need to be present on the day of the exam
• You do not need to track who earns an exemption
• All absent students on the day of the exam will be given a 50
• Students with eligible excused absences are determined by admin only
• Semester Exams are required for all courses

Volunteer Communication Update
We wish Mrs. Conkovich all the best as she begins her maternity leave from September 15th to December 12th! We’re excited to welcome Mr. Lee as her long-term substitute!

During this time, our amazing VP of Events, Kit Ciura and Mary Alvarado, will serve as the Volunteer Coordinators. Please keep an eye out for emails from vpevents@coppellchoir.com for all future volunteer communications, and feel free to reach out to them directly with any questions about volunteering.

If you would like to become a choir sponsor or would like to gain more information regarding becoming a choir sponsor, please click on the line below for more information.

Parents have to opt in for health-related services as mandated by law. The clinic will not be able help them if this is not complete. If possible, please share this link with students and parents. Parents are asked to complete a separate consent form for each student enrolled in CISD. The form is also linked on the CHS Website under Health Services Consent form.
