- Morning Routines: Car line Drop Off is between 7:15 and 7:45: Students cannot be dropped off at school before 7:15. Adult supervision begins at 7:15, and students cannot be unattended before adults are on duty. If your child arrives after 7:45 am, they need to be signed in to the office by a parent or guardian. You can scan the QR code on your car tag to do this; however, we ask that you still walk them to the front door. If students come up to the door by themselves and if no one is in the office, they are locked out. Thank you for helping us ensure the safety of all our Wildcats! All students can get a free breakfast from 7:15-7:45 in our cafeteria. Morning Choir Practice is at 7:15 on Wednesdays and Thursdays, so the car line may be a bit more crowded at that time on those dates. Thank you for your understanding!
- Dismissal: School dismisses at 3:00 pm. If your child has a doctor's appointment and needs to be checked out early, we ask that you please bring a doctor's note to excuse his absence. We don't allow check-outs after 2:30 pm. Please plan accordingly. If you need to make changes to the way your child goes home, please call the office and make changes before 2:30 pm
- Car Line: Please remain in your car at all times in the car rider line. Students have worked very hard on becoming independent workers and learners this year, and helping them be independent in getting out of the car keeps everything running smoothly. The driveways and roads cannot be blocked when out on 40th Street in the car line, per Springdale Police Department.
- PTA: Did you know that you can support our PTA with your Amazon purchases and/or by purchasing a membership to our local Sam's Club? More information is linked below.
- Are you or someone you know looking for a job? We are looking for substitute teachers and bus drivers for the 2021-22 school year! If you are interested, please reach out to Mrs. Ryan or our district website for more information!
- Lost and Found: We already have a very large collection of items that are in our lost and found. Please make sure you have the student's name clearly marked on tags or inside a garment that may be removed throughout the day (coats/jackets, hoodies, etc.).
Our job is to serve your child and your family! Please let us know if you have questions or need help.
Thank you for your partnership,
Mrs. Lynn Ryan, Principal, lryan@sdale.org
Mrs. Carrie Farris, Assistant Principal, cfarris@sdale.org
IMPORTANT LOST AND FOUND INFO!
Our Lost and Found items are overflowing! We have lost items hanging in the hallways to make them easier for students to claim. We will have ONE MORE WEEK to allow parents and students to come and retrieve their Lost and Found items. AFTER THIS WEEK, all items will be donated, as we no longer have space available to store these items. Please send your child or come by the office to see if your child has any items to claim! After April 8th, they will no longer be in the building.
Thank you for your help with this!
Lexia Scope & Sequence
Here is a quick reference chart showing the Lexia levels and grade-level expectations. If you have any questions about your child's Lexia, please call or message your child's teacher.
We would like your feedback on early release Wednesdays
Please review this district information and share your feedback on the survey about Early out Wednesdays for Students.
Would you like to eat lunch with your child?
Parents can now come back into the building for LUNCH, and we are so excited! We do have a few guidelines to follow as we try to get back to this normal routine:
*Students can not have friends join them at lunch - the student can eat with their parent(s), but friends will need to remain seated with their class.
*Parents are allowed to bring lunch in from a restaurant or from home for their child, but not allowed to bring outside food in for their child's friends.
*You will have to be checked in at the office before you are able to go to lunch. Please have your driver's license with you in case we need to put it into our system. You will have to wear a name badge that is printed from the office in order to eat with your child.
*You will need to wait in the office area until your child's class comes to the cafeteria for lunch.
We have a table in the lobby, a side table in the cafeteria, and an outdoor eating space that is open for parents to have lunch.

G.U.I.D.E for Life in Arkanas
Here are some ways to implement this at home.
- Compare and contrast safe and unsafe situations
- Understand consequences for unsafe actions
- Reflect on the outcome of the solution
- Create a responsibility chart at home
- Identify steps to accomplish a personal goal
The G.U.I.D.E. for Life program, with the support of Arkansas counselors and educators, is designed to give K-12 students a plan – a five-step process – that they can follow to achieve personal success. Each principle is summarized in easy-to-understand keywords, with three action points to explain the idea. By incorporating the G.U.I.D.E. for Life concepts throughout the school experience, we can help instill these “real-world” skills for success in all Arkansas students. The result? Well-rounded citizens, stronger communities, and more effective employees. Click on the link below to watch the introduction video from the Department of Education.
