Join us on Tuesday, September 1 | 5:30–7:30 p.m. for one exciting evening! Learn about your child’s learning journey. This is a come-and-go event. An ice cream truck will be located at the front of the school, offering delicious ice cream treats for purchase. Bring your family and enjoy a sweet treat together.

Acompáñenos el martes 1 de septiembre | 5:30–7:30 p. m. Para una noche especial. Conozca más sobre el aprendizaje de su hijo(a). Este es un evento de entrada y salida. Un camión de helados estará ubicado al frente de la escuela, ofreciendo deliciosos helados para la venta. ¡Traiga a su familia y disfruten juntos de un dulce momento!

Kirk Elementary we value parent involvement. Our campus is open most days for lunch visitors. We want to partner with families to support a positive learning environment. We ask that all lunch visitors adhere to the following procedures.

• Please limit your lunch visits to once per week. This will allow all families the chance to enjoy lunch with their child.
• We can only accommodate 6 families per day per grade level to join us for lunch. If 6 families have already checked in for lunch that day, we will ask that you find another day to join your student for lunch.
• All lunch visitors must sit on the stage and are only permitted to eat with their child.
• All lunch visitors must leave 5 minutes prior to the end of the lunch period.
• Lunch visitors are not permitted to walk in the classroom line with the child. They must leave prior to the class lining up.

En Kirk Elementary, valoramos la participación de los padres. Nuestra escuela está abierta la mayoría de los días para recibir a los visitantes durante el almuerzo. Queremos colaborar con las familias para apoyar un ambiente de aprendizaje positivo. Pedimos que todos los visitantes durante el almuerzo sigan los siguientes procedimientos:

• No se permite que los visitantes durante el almuerzo caminen en la fila del salón con el niño/a. Deben salir antes de que la clase se forme en fila.

I am very excited to be starting the year with Kirk Elementary! I have been a pediatric ER nurse for 10 years and so excited for this new experience. As the school year starts, there are going to be a lot more germs - it’s important to keep your student hydrated with lots of water, getting plenty of sleep each night, and washing their hands! I have been seeing a huge influx of students to the clinic with runny noses and sore throats. Pollen is very rampant so I would highly suggest a daily allergy medication such as Claritin or Zyrtec.

Feel free to bring any over-the-counter medications up to school for your student to be kept in the clinic (Tylenol, Ibuprofen, cough drops, etc.). That way if your student comes to the clinic complaining of pain, sore throat, etc., I am able to give it to them. As always, remember that if your student is sent home with a fever, they must be fever free for 24-hours without any fever reducing medication.

¡Estoy muy emocionada de comenzar el año escolar en Kirk Elementary! He trabajado como enfermera de emergencias pediátricas durante 10 años y estoy muy emocionada por esta nueva experiencia.

A medida que comienza el año escolar, habrá una mayor exposición a gérmenes. Es importante mantener a su estudiante bien hidratado, asegurándose de que tome suficiente agua, duerma lo suficiente cada noche y se lave las manos con frecuencia. If you want your Kirk student to be announced on the marquee, here are the steps to purchase the announcement:

• Visit the website: https://cypress-fairbanksisd.schoolcashonline.com/
• Enter the following information:
• Student Name
• Last Name
• Student Birthday
• Grade
• After filling in the details, click on "Add to cart" at the bottom of the page.
• Click "Continue" to proceed with the purchase.
• Select the preferred "Payment Method" and then click "Continue" again.
• After completing the payment, send a copy of the payment receipt to kirkfrontdesk@cfisd.net.

Parents need to make this payment at least 5 days before their child's birthday to ensure that it's processed on time. This advance notice allows the school to prepare for the birthday Marquee display.

Please note that this feature will display student birthdays for two days: the day before the student's birthday and the actual birthday.
