LMHS Updates
for parents and families ... January 4, 2026
Happy New Year!
We hope that everyone had a great holiday break, and wish all of our Wildcat families a safe, joyous, and successful 2026!
End of Semester 1
There are only 10 school days remaining in semester 1, which ends on Friday, January 16. Please help ensure that all students end the semester successfully! Log onto your Focus portal to see your student's current status in each class. Remember - students in the Classes of 2028 and 2029, as well as 8th grade students in world languages and/or Algebra 8, must pass all competency categories as well as have a passing overall average in order to earn credit for courses.
Teachers will have until Thursday, January 22 to finalize grades. We expect to distribute report cards on Friday, January 23.
January Coat Drive
During the month of January, the high school Student Council is sponsoring a coat drive:
Two Reminders for the New Year
It seems like a good time to remind all of our families of two important items:
- Please try your best to ensure that your student never brings in products containing peanuts. We have several students severely allergic to peanuts at LMHS, including airborne allergies. It's essential that all students be safe, so we ask that no peanut products come into the school building or to school events.
- Drop-off and pickup for all students before school remains the student parking lot. Please do not use the front (staff) parking lot or the circle for drop-off before school, or pickup immediately after school. Using the student parking lot for this helps maintain smooth traffic flow. Certainly, if you are running late and it's after the bell you can drop off your student right at the front entrance.
Thanks for your help with these two items.
