Dear NPE Community,

I hope our students enjoyed their long weekend. We are looking forward to seeing our students return to us tomorrow morning! Please take a minute and review the following information found below.

It is hard to believe, but we will soon be welcoming our incoming kindergarten students and their families to the NPE community. On Monday, March 2, we will hold our annual kindergarten orientation at 7:00 PM in the NPE cafeteria. This event is an opportunity for new families to learn about our school and its programs. A lottery for AM/PM assignments would also occur, if needed (high registration totals). This event if for parents and guardians only. An Open House will be scheduled for late August after teacher assignments have been completed.

Jump Rope For Heart is coming up soon! During the week of February 23, all students will participate in this event. During regular PE classes, students will have the opportunity to jump rope, hula hoop, and exergame in an effort to fight against heart disease. Raising money for Jump Rope For Heart is optional. If you choose to raise money, it is due by February 27.

Please note that if a student raises over $50, they will receive a t-shirt. Please write the shirt size that you would like on the envelope. Thanks to everyone for participating in this worthwhile event.

For registered families:

The 2026-2027 Kindergarten Orientation is scheduled for Monday, March 2 at 7:00 PM in the NPE cafeteria. This session is for parents/guardians only.

Wallingford-Swarthmore Kindergarten Registration for 2026-27 is now open!

To be eligible for kindergarten admission in September 2026, children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2026. NO EXCEPTIONS. Students must be registered by Friday, February 27, 2026 to be eligible for the lottery to select AM/PM sessions.

The district offers online registration. This can be accessed HERE. Questions concerning online registration should be directed to Derrick L. Clements at dclements@wssd.org.

If you are unable to register online, please call the Educational Data and Registration Office at 610-892-3470 ext. 1304 to schedule an appointment to complete the registration online at the Administration Office.
