Weekly update for Peirce Middle School
Dear Peirce Families,
Peirce Middle School will participate in Red Ribbon Week starting on Monday, October 28. As a school, we will support living a healthy and safe lifestyle by participating in the different spirit days-First up: Sports day. The week will culminate with a Halloween day on Thursday, October 31. Students may not bring real or fake props (i.e., lasers, pitchforks, weapons, sticks, etc.) or fake blood. Face painting is permitted as long as the student is identifiable. Please avoid costumes and clothing that depict excessive violence, gore, or could cause disruption to the school environment.
Additionally, we anticipate the proof booklets from Barksdale Photography will arrive this week. These will be distributed to students in homeroom. Picture retakes are scheduled for Thursday, November 14 over the lunch periods.

Peirce to Hold Veteran's Day Assembly on Monday, November 11
On Monday, November 11 our students will celebrate and honor our current and former service men and women with a Veteran's Day Assembly. As part of the program, we are coordinating a panel to share their experiences and answer student questions. If you have interest in serving on our panel, please reach out to me by the end of the day on Thursday, October 24. Thank you for considering this opportunity.
Winter Sports for 7th and 8th Grade Students
Winter sports at Peirce will start at different times depending on the specific sport and grade level. Please see the start dates/tryout dates and contact information for each sport. If a student has already played a Peirce sport this year, your student only needs to submit a Section PIAA recertification (by a parent/guardian). If this is the first Peirce sport this year, a full PIAA Physical will be required prior to starting the season. Please see the directions to register through family ID below. Online order for the 2024-2025 Peirce Yearbook is now open
The online order for the 2024-2025 Peirce Middle School yearbook is open now through Friday, April 4. Please see the attached flyer with the link and ordering details. The cost of the book is $20.
Mrs. Garratty is running low on student clothing for the nurse's office this fall. This items are used when students need to change mid-day. Please see the attached flyer for more information or reach out to Mrs. Garraty at bgarraty@wcasd.net.
Math Club to start on Monday, October 14
Math Club will meet every other Monday from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in B 109. The first meeting date will be Monday, October 14. The main focus of Math Club is to prepare students for the Chester County Math Counts Competitions, but students do not need to participate in the competitions to be a part of the club. Students only need a ride home at 4:00 to attend!
