Principal's Message
Hello Families,
Incredibly, we are two weeks away from the winter break. Thank you for all your efforts to make this first semester remarkable.
It has been brought to my attention that some families use the Smore account email to contact me. The email robertogonzalez06@users.smore.com does not belong to the school; it is the account Smore uses to send the newsletter. This could happen if you try to contact me by replying to the email I sent with the newsletter.
When trying to reach out, please use my district email, rgonzalez2@dallasisd.org. I apologize for the confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.
On another topic, thanks for your donations to the PTO and your time volunteering. Our PTO membership is on the rise, helping to foster our sense of belonging to the school.
In the next two weeks, you will see that the multicultural committee has put together some activities related to the different winter celebrations, which include school decorations from around the world. What a magnificent way to celebrate our unique community.
Our first winter performance will be this week. We have put more information in the "resources you can use section" of the newsletter. We will visit the venue tomorrow, so we can give you more logistics about arrival and dismissal as soon as we see it. We appreciate your patience in this matter.
As the holidays approach, l want to remind you of the importance of daily school attendance. Please plan to bring your child these two weeks.
Last, remember that December 22nd is our early release day at 12:15. All afterschool activities are canceled, so our excellent afterschool program will not offer services that day.
Warm regards,
Dr. G

Uniforms
I would like to remind you to review the uniform policy and ensure that your child is wearing appropriate uniform and footwear. This is to ensure their safety as improper shoes can lead to injuries.
Homeroom teachers will begin contacting families regarding this topic to better understand individual needs.
Your cooperation in this matter is highly appreciated. please see the approved uniform policy here
Crocs are not allowed as part of Dallas ISD uniform policy.
As the weather gets cooler, we want to remind you to label all student layers. Please write your child's name on the tags of their jackets or sweaters. We want to make sure no clothing items get misplaced and can be returned to your child.
