Dear St. Francis de Sales Catholic Academy Families,

Happy Father’s Day!

Fatherhood is an incredible vocation, entrusted to men by God. Fathers are called to be a reflection of God's unconditional love and to nurture their children's physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. On this Father’s Day, let us take a moment to appreciate and honor the fathers among us who have embraced this sacred calling with love and dedication.

We also remember with prayer and gratitude the Fathers, Grandfathers, Uncles, and special men in our lives who have passed away this past year. May their families be comforted by the hope of eternal life.

As we celebrate, let us express our heartfelt gratitude for the gift of our earthly fathers and recognize the profound role they play in our lives. At the same time, let us remember that all fatherhood finds its origin and purpose in God, our Heavenly Father. By embracing the divine attributes of love, sacrifice, and mercy, all fathers become vessels of God’s grace, shaping the lives of their children and reflecting the image of our Heavenly Father.

Last evening, St. Francis de Sales Catholic Academy proudly celebrated the graduation of 57 students from our Catholic Academy. These young men and women now join more than 10,000 alumni of our beloved school.

If you were unable to attend the ceremony, we invite you to watch the full graduation by clicking the link below:

As we say goodbye to the Class of 2025, we also prepare to say farewell to two beloved members of our faculty and staff. Mrs. Aileen Warnock, our dedicated 5th and 6th grade math teacher, will be moving on to teach in the NYC public school system. We thank her for her commitment to her students and her many contributions to our Academy community.

Additionally, Mrs. Maureen Charles, one of our cherished early childhood aides, will be retiring after nearly 20 years of faithful service to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Academy. Her gentle spirit and nurturing presence have touched the lives of so many of our youngest learners over the years.

Please join us in offering our heartfelt gratitude and best wishes to Mrs. Warnock and Mrs. Charles as they embark on these next chapters in their lives.

Dr. Christopher Scharbach
Principal
