Bell to Bell, No Cell - Act 122 of 2025 - State of Arkansas
Important Update: Arkansas Act 122 (“Bell to Bell, No Cell” – effective 2025‑26)
Starting with the 2025–2026 school year, all public school students in Arkansas are required by state law to follow a “Bell to Bell, No Cell” policy.
What this means:
-
No use of personal electronic devices (phones, smartwatches, earbuds, tablets, laptops, etc.) is allowed from the first bell to the last, across all school areas—classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, restrooms, and more .
Act 122 aims to reduce distractions and foster a more focused, academic environment during school hours.
Mountainburg School District is committed to maintaining a work and learning environment free from discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, pregnancy, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital/civil union status, ancestry, place of birth, age, citizenship status, veteran status, political affiliation, genetic information or disability, as defined and required by state and federal laws. Additionally, we prohibit retaliation against individuals who oppose such discrimination and harassment or who participate in an equal opportunity investigation.
