NO SCHOOL - Friday, April 11 NO SCHOOL - Friday, April 11

From Mr. Sachtleben's Desk... From Mr. Sachtleben's Desk...

We have completed all of the sections of the Ohio State Tests! I commend our students for taking these seriously and giving us their best efforts these past two weeks! These tests can be cumbersome, but I believe our students met the challenge of having an open mind and by giving us their best effort. When it comes to these state tests, I continue to be very proud of our teacher's efforts to help our students grow and to shrink the learning gap. This is, in my opinion, where a true test of their learning exists. Our staff is dedicated to helping students grow and their tireless efforts will be seen with the growth data we are expected to earn.

I hope you all have a great weekend. As always, if you have any specific concerns or questions, please email me at the address below. Thank you!

On Wednesday evening, the Dublin Chamber of Commerce along with Dublin City Schools honored students and staff who were nominated as Community Champions! I want to take the time to formally congratulate the following recipients at Sells:

  • Phoebe Price - 6th grade
  • Kardeair Beecher - 8th grade
  • Toby Carpenter - Staff

These three individuals were awarded this honor based on nominations that were made on their behalf. We are so proud of each of them and congratulate them for demonstrating Rock Pride!

Congratulations - Student of the Month Congratulations - Student of the Month

I want to congratulate 6th grader Aseel Kaukau for earning the Student of the Month for April! Her name was inadvertently left out of last week's Weekly Update where all of the Students of the Month were recognized. My apologies to Aseel for this oversight! And of course, congratulations!
