A Message from the Superintendent
Staying Safe and Looking Ahead
Dear Students, Staff, and Families,
I hope everyone is staying warm and safe after Winter Storm Fern. While winter weather can disrupt our routines, our ACPS community continues to show resilience, flexibility, and care for one another. Thank you for your patience and partnership as we navigate these moments together.
To ensure we provide ample opportunity for students to get caught up after missing an entire week of classes, we made calendar adjustments in February and March to make up three of those instructional days. Monday, February 16; Tuesday, February 17; and Thursday, March 19, will now be regular instructional days for students.
We know calendar changes require planning and flexibility from families and staff, and we truly appreciate your understanding as we keep learning on track. With your support, our students will continue to learn, grow, and thrive—no matter the weather. Together, we’re staying focused on staying safe and finishing the school year strong.
Warmly,
Matt
Dr. Matthew S. Haas
Superintendent
