Message from Principal Johnson
Hello Rush Creek Families,
It’s hard to believe the end of the school year is already here! As we wrap up another wonderful year, we know everyone is looking forward to a well-deserved summer break.
We understand that many families enjoy celebrating the end of the school year with their students and in their neighborhoods. As a reminder, all celebrations must take place off school grounds. On the last day of school, students will head home using their regular mode of transportation. Due to the high volume of traffic, we are only able to accommodate walkers, parent pick-up vehicles, and school buses. If you have a special end-of-year ride planned for your student, please make arrangements for that pickup to happen off school property.
Thank you for all your support throughout the year. We’re excited to finish the year strong together!

Last Day of School is Friday, June 6th!!
Tri 3 Report Cards
This is an important reminder that Trimester III report cards will be available on for parents to view in ParentVUE starting on Thursday, June 12th. No physical reports cards will be mailed out. Please take some time to go through the report cards and talk with your student about their progress this year.
In order to view student report cards, families will need to have a ParentVue account. If you don't have a ParentVue account and need assistance, please email Jen Marsh at MarshJ@district279.org before Wednesday, June 11th to receive your access code.
Lost & Found Items
The school year is quickly approaching, and our Lost & Found has filled up again. Please encourage your student to visit the Lost & Found if you have any missing items. We will be donating all remaining Lost & Found items after school is out.
Note from Nurse Nell

Summer Meal Program
SUN Bucks
SUN Bucks is an income-based food support program that provides families with $120 per eligible school-aged child to buy groceries when school is out for the summer. Most eligible children are automatically enrolled. When children no longer receive free meals at school, their households might need extra help putting food on the table. The SUN Bucks program is designed to meet this seasonal need.
