Confidential Household Income Survey
For the 2025-2026 school year ALL students can eat daily mid-morning snacks (nutrition) and lunch from the cafeteria!
Our school is identified as a Title I school and we receive state and federal funding to support many of our educational programs. Even though we are offering snacks and lunch for free for all students this year, we highly encourage parents to complete the Confidential Household Income Survey on a yearly basis. By doing so, we maintain funding this year and subsequent years which directly impacts our staffing and programs such as STEM Lab and Response to Intervention (RTI).
At the Preseason Event on Tuesday, August 12, copies of the Confidential Household Income Survey will be available for you to complete. The form is also linked below so you can print and complete it ahead of time if you wish.
Confidential Household Income Survey ENGLISH
Another way to complete the Confidential Household Income Survey is to go online, and click on Income Survey.
Thank you in advance for helping Providencia maintain our Title I status and school funding which benefit ALL of our students!
Suggested School Supply Lists
Linked here are some common supplies that teachers at each grade level are requesting to start off the school year. It is not required for your child to bring supplies on the first day of school. At our Preseason Event on Tuesday, August 12, we will be providing you more specific supply lists from your assigned teacher.
Supplies that are donated to the classroom are helpful and greatly appreciated, but not required. They become communal which means supplies are collected from all children and then distributed throughout the school year. Supplies are not individualized and we make sure all students have access to necessary materials. Thank you in advance for your kind donations!
Safe Routes to School
There are 3 ways to drop off your child in the morning and pick up your child in the afternoon:
1) Walk and Roll: If you live close by, we encourage your family to walk and roll (bike, skate, scoot) to school! Please use crosswalks. Start and end the day with physical activity and when more families walk, it reduces traffic congestion and it helps the environment!
2) Park and Walk: Park your car on the streets (except red zones) and the school district parking lot located on Pacific Avenue between our playground and the Deluxe Media building. Please DO NOT park at Warner Brothers across the street where semi-trucks frequently go in and out.
3) Car Valet: Please pull your car up to the last orange cone on Pacific Avenue. A staff member or volunteer will open your rear car door so your child(ren) can safely get out to the sidewalk to the entry gate. Car valet is only available in the morning.
Wed. 8/13 Opening Day: The First Day of School
Wednesday, August 13 Gates Open @ 8:05 am
We will open the gate on Pacific Avenue for all K-5th grade students (only TK will arrive at the N. Ontario Street gate). Only on the First Day of School will we allow parents on campus to locate
your child’s teacher and classroom line. Our daily schedule is as follows:
Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
Grades TK-K 8:30 am-1:30 pm
Grades 1-2 8:30 am-2:25 pm
Grades 3-5 8:30 am-2:45 pm
Every Tuesday
Grades TK-K 8:30 am-1:30 pm
Grades 1-2 8:30 am-2:05 pm
Grades 3-5 8:30 am-2:10 pm
Note: TK/K are dismissed at the N. Ontario Street gate and
Grades 1st-5th are dismissed at the Pacific Avenue gate.
Wed. 8/13 Coffee with the Principal @ 8:30 am
When the bell rings at 8:30 am for students to begin instruction on the first day of school, please join me in the Community Room for Coffee with the Principal. We will have light refreshments and I will be sharing a short presentation on how you can help your child hit home runs this school year!
Cellphone and Smartwatch Policy
We will start off the year reminding students about our cellphone and smartwatch policy as indicated in our Student Parent Handbook. Use of personal technology during the instructional day and in our after school programs is a distraction to the school learning environment. We ask that you review the following expectations with your child(ren):
- Students can bring a cellphone and/or smartwatch to school but they must be turned OFF when they enter campus and for the duration of the instructional day (not on silent or vibrate).
- Students can place their device in their backpack or hand it to their teacher at the start of the day.
- If a student turns on and/or uses their cellphone or smartwatch it will be confiscated by a staff member and returned to the student at the end of the school day.
- If a student's cellphone or smartwatch is confiscated a 2nd time, the principal will call home and return the phone to the student at the end of the school day.
- If a student's cellphone or smartwatch is confiscated a 3rd time, the student's parent/guardian must first meet with the principal and the cellphone or smartwatch will be returned to the parent.
- Cellphones and smartwatches can be turned on when the student is off-campus, when given permission by a staff member or in the rare occasion of a real emergency (i.e. natural disaster). If you need to message your child, please call the school office at 818-729-3100.
Thank you in advance for your support in making sure cellphones and smartwatches do not disrupt our school learning environment.
