What can I expect?
TES Choir Information:
Your 3rd/4th grader has a wonderful opportunity to be a part of the Tomball Elementary Treble Makers choir! The choir is a performance based singing ensemble that rehearses songs to perform for an audience. There will be one rehearsal every week on Tuesdays before school at 7:40 a.m. and four performances at the end of the semester. See the attached flyer for more information. Being a part of a musical group/team teaches accountability, punctuality, teamwork, and builds thinking skills such as concentration, memory, and listening. Students who make it to the highest level of performance for band, choir, and orchestra in high school score an average of 200-300 points higher on the SAT than the national average! There is no audition for the TES choir. To register your child for choir, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Fill out the google form- https://forms.gle/Ld4mao9CuJA4NUgE7
Step 2: Sign the attached permission slip and email it or send it to school with your child to give to the music teachers, Mrs. Shaw or Mrs. Harrison
Step 3: Look out for an email with information for the first day of choir
We hope you will consider allowing your child to be a part of the TES Treble Makers choir!

Welcome Back from Mrs. Toohey!
Tiffanie Toohey- Counselor- tiffanietoohey@tomballisd.net - ext. 3208
This is my 7th year as a school counselor, and my 2nd at TES. In TISD, the mission of the TISD school counselors is to deliver a comprehensive school counseling program that supports academic, postsecondary, and social/emotional development of all students to ensure their success in school and beyond. In my role as a School Counselor, I bring both a passion and innovative thinking to create and implement a strong and comprehensive school counseling program that supports success of our community of students by empowering them to be compassionate, resilient, and problem solvers. Throughout the school year you can expect to see me facilitating monthly guidance lessons to all students that foster our GE Life Principles, providing individual and small group counseling to students with a variety of behavioral, academic, social, and emotional needs, and collaborating with our administrative team, teachers, and parents.
Last school year, I was able to support our community in so many different ways, I had over 700 student counseling meetings, 100 parent meetings, 250+ staff consultations, and 200+ counseling lessons. I am beyond thrilled about the many ways I have been able to support our special TES Community! I look forward to supporting you all again this year! Please be sure to reach out to me with any questions/concerns regarding community resources, backpack/school supplies financial assistance, and any concerns you may have regarding your child’s social, and emotional well-being at tiffanietoohey@tomballisd.net.
Welcome Officer Tony Young!!
Tomball ISD is committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment for all students, staff, and visitors. As part of this commitment, the district proudly partners with Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office to provide dedicated School Resource Officers (SROs) across all Tomball ISD campuses. Through this partnership, you’ll often see Precinct 4 officers working closely alongside our campus teams each day, supporting both safety and community connection.
We are excited to welcome Deputy Tony Young to the Tomball Elementary team!
Arrival/Dismissal Procedures
Arrival/Dismissal Routes
Car rider line- cars must enter from Inwood street, there will be cones blocking the entrance from Quinn each morning/afternoon to help with the flow of traffic.
Walker Route Procedures
TES Walker Route- Dismissal
To ensure a safe and efficient dismissal process, we ask all families to remain on the sidewalk and follow the designated route outlined above during afternoon dismissal. This helps minimize foot traffic through the seated car rider area and moving vehicles.
Please remember that parking on school property and exiting your vehicle to meet walker students is not permitted. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping all students safe.

With StopFinder, you can
- View your student’s current bus schedule.
- Set up GeoAlerts to receive notifications when the bus arrives or departs from key locations, such as your student’s bus stop or school.
- View the live location of your student's bus 15 minutes before the scheduled arrival time.
Important Information for Parents
- The primary email address currently on file with the district will be used to set up your StopFinder account.
- StopFinder is available for free download from the App Store or Google Play. You are able to download the app now, but will not be able to login until student registration is complete and you receive the invitation email.

Breakfast Procedures
Our cafeteria is open for breakfast from 8:05- 8:30, students must arrive by car before 8:30 in order to make it in the breakfast line. Student will eat in the cafeteria and then go onto class no later than 8:40 with the tardy bell and the start of instruction.
Reminder- Breakfast ends at 8:30!
Lunch Visitors
Will parents be able to eat lunch with their children?
Lunch is a part of the instructional day, and each lunch lasts 30 minutes. As a fast-growth District with limited space in the cafeteria, it is important for us to establish our procedures and lunch expectations with the students during the first weeks of school. Parents are welcome to come have lunch with their child(ren) starting on Monday, September 22rd.
Please remember that all visitors must bring their driver's license with them to campus to check in at the front office, and lunch visitors must be listed on the emergency log.
Meal Services
How can I put money on my child's lunch account?
Breakfast Prices: PK/Elementary/Intermediate $1.50
Lunch Prices: Elementary/Intermediate $2.75
Money may be deposited into student accounts with cash or check in the cafeteria, or online at www.schoolcafe.com. Advanced payment is not necessary. However, this process is convenient for parents, and a child is always ensured a nutritious cafeteria breakfast and lunch. Contact either your school cafeteria manager or the Child Nutrition Department for information or questions regarding the above payment procedures.
Birthdays at School
How will birthdays be celebrated on campus?
Our students are extremely important to us and we want them to feel celebrated. To ensure the safety of all students, birthday treats must be store bought and sealed in the store bought package. Individually packaged/wrapped treats by the store are preferred. For your convenience, the school cafeteria will have ice cream treats available for purchase as well. If you would like to purchase items from the cafeteria, please contact the cafeteria manager so we can help make arrangements for this purchase prior to arriving at the cafeteria.
From the Clinic
As per Texas State Law, screenings for vision, hearing and acanthosis nigricans will be done during the school year on all students during Kinder, First and Third Grades, as well as new TISD students. All other grades will be screened per Teacher/Counselor/Parent request. You will only be notified if your student did not pass their screening and further testing is needed.
We have already started this process in the TES Clinic. Please reach out if you have any questions!
