Dear Bobcat Families,

As we enter the final two weeks of February, we want to thank you for your continued partnership in supporting your child’s success. This time of year is important academically, and your involvement makes a tremendous difference.

✅Attendance Matters: Every school day counts. Consistent attendance helps students stay on track with lessons, build strong routines, and feel confident in their learning. Please help ensure your child is present and on time each day unless they are ill.

🏨Tutoring Support:

Please help encourage your child if they are attend tutoring. These sessions provide targeted support that can boost understanding, improve grades, and build confidence. Your encouragement at home goes a long way.

🧡Kindness Week Participation:

We are excited to celebrate Kindness Week! Students will take part in activities that promote empathy, respect, and positive relationships. We invite you to talk with your child about the importance of kindness and how they can show it at school and at home.

Thank you for your partnership and for all you do to support your child’s growth. Together, we can make these last weeks of February meaningful and successful.😊

Warmly, Maria Guerra, Principal

From the School Nurse’s Office – February News

February is a busy month for keeping our students healthy and safe! With cold weather and seasonal illnesses still around, this is a great time to reinforce healthy habits at home and at school.

Cold & Flu Season Reminders
We are continuing to see colds, flu, and other respiratory illnesses. Please remember to keep your child home if they have:

  • A fever of 100.4°F or higher (students must be fever-free for 24 hours without medication before returning)

  • Vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours

  • Persistent cough that interferes with learning

  • Not feeling well enough to participate in school activities

Encourage frequent handwashing, covering coughs and sneezes, and getting plenty of rest.

Healthy Hearts Month ❤️
February is American Heart Month! It’s a great time to talk with your child about heart-healthy habits:

  • Staying active every day

  • Eating fruits and vegetables

  • Drinking plenty of water

  • Limiting sugary drinks and snacks

Even small healthy choices each day make a big difference!

Dental Health Month
February is also National Children’s Dental Health Month. Remember to:

  • Brush teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste

  • Floss daily

  • Visit the dentist regularly

Healthy smiles support overall health and confidence in the classroom.

Cold Weather Safety
Please make sure your child comes to school dressed appropriately for outdoor recess, including coats, hats, and gloves. We go outside whenever temperatures are safe, and proper winter clothing helps keep everyone comfortable.

As always, if you have any health concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the health office. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our school community healthy!

Warm regards,
Nurse Lisa
