Hola,
To continue with our Phase 2 of Extended Learning Plan, the FLES team will combine both synchronous and asynchronous learning. Next week, April 21 - 24 (Week 2), we will start Spanish zoom meetings, and the following week, April 27 - May 1 (Week 1), students will continue learning through videos made by FLES teachers. Then, we will start again with a
Week 1, followed by a Week 2.
The schedule for Spanish zoom meetings every other week will be the following:
WEEK 2: April 21 - 24
Spanish zoom meetings for Hosmer students:
- KINDERGARTEN: Mondays at 9:00 - 9:30 (April 20th is a holiday so the first meeting will be on May 4th)
- FIRST GRADE: Fridays at 11:30 - 12:00
- SECOND GRADE: Tuesdays at 9:00 - 9:30
- THIRD GRADE: Thursday at 9:00 - 9:30

EXPECTATIONS FOR ATTENDING ZOOM MEETINGS
Remind your child that attending a zoom meeting is just like being in the school classroom. Please, follow the expectations already in place by your class teacher. Also, you need to:
have a safe area to move around in for games, dancing, and singing
listen, repeat, answer questions, talk and sing in Spanish (even if you are on mute)*
*Students from 2-3 classes will be in our lesson. You may all be on mute during certain activities, but you are still expected to listen, speak, sing, and move!
How to enter the meeting
Each Spanish teacher will use their own Zoom link, listed below, by grade and class. Students must enter the password listed below, which will allow them to enter the virtual waiting room. We will admit students into our meeting once it begins. Please have students' first name displayed as they enter the meeting. We are not able to admit anyone with an alternate name displayed. Please try to join class within the first five minutes. After, we may not have time to admit you.
